Because we have too many decent players, and we need to jettison some playing time for younger guys, free up cap space, and get some players that also play defense to replace some of our better ones who do not.

There are lots better ways of doing that than handing over an obscene $5-for-a-quarter-in-return trade for Gasol.

Scola+Martin for Gasol alone is absurd.

I'll be DONE with Morey if this turd of a rumored trade happens.

 

We're giving up way too much for a guy who in four years will be done.

 

This smells like Les ordering Morey to get a name - any name - no matter how much it cost. Seriously, this is the worst move the Rockets have made since Rudy Gay. Horrible, just horrible. All we have to do is suck for 66 games and we'd have a good chance to draft a potential franchise player, but Morey trades away our future for a band aid move that does nothing more than keep us in the middle of the pack for the next 2-3 years.
