Really? I could see the scenario where Melo and Amar'e restructure their contracts in order get him his money.

After this lockout, you really believe that?

The Warriors believe that they've lost Tyson Chandler to the Knicks, sources tell Y! Sports.

Yep. It would be an even bigger "**** you" to the small market owners that were acting tough a month ago.

I'm having the sickening feeling that Houston will be involved on the short end.:(

Billups' still in dark on Knicks next move with him: amnesty, trade into cap space...or: Possible sign-and-trade with Dallas for Chandler?

It's not 100% clear yet how much he'll get, but there are reports he took only part of the mid-level exception or the new mini mid-level. Maybe he will get the full $5M mid-level, but they have to amnesty Mike Miller to give that out. If they don't, then Battier gets the $3M mini mid-level. In fact, that is what Ira Winderman of the Sun-Sentinel is reporting.

To me, that's peanuts... he wouldn't go anywhere else for that money.

Players that want to win will take less to go to Miami.

The Mavericks could possibly let JJ Barea leave as a free agent, and split the point guard duties in compact season with Kidd and Billups.

Smart move by Dallas if you ask me...

Ha wow! Would suck to be Amar'e. You go 'bold' and sign with NY when no one else wanted to and in return, they possibly trade you to New Orleans for Paul. Dang!

If I've learned anything from watching the NBA over the past 20 years its that PG's are not a necessity for winning championships. Nash, Stockton, Payton (in his prime), Hardaway, Kidd (in his prime) -- no rings. Meanwhile Ron Harper, Derek Fisher, a rookie Rajon Rando, and several other average PG's have won rings.

Thanks for your help on this. Leaving now.... Hopefully when I log back on, I'll be seeing something positive for our Rockets!
