They've got Paul George who should be their starting SG. At the 4 they need a guy who can defend. Defense has been their weakest point.
Its hard for me to believe they'll match a 16 or 17mil per year deal. Either way the Rockets should make an offer that high and make Memphis have to commit that amount of money.
If we are letting Chuck go, might as well trade k mart and scola as well, there is no point in keeping these guys, TANK!
Ok, it's become apparent that Morey STRATEGICALLY let Adelman go so he could join the pups so Morey can acquire the man he's been after, Rubio! Just don't forget where the info came from. We all no Rick isn't going to play the rooks. It's been the plan all along, CP3 rumors is just all smokescreen.
Timberwolves and rockets Kevin Martin and chase budinger/ or Jordan hill For Weasly Johnson and darko milicic and a draft pick in 2012 or 2013 It would give us cap space and make us go young and rebuild and if you look at it rebuilding is the best situation for the rockets or any team that doesn't have a big three... Look at Minnesotas core right now they have 5 young players who can all be huge stars down the rode and look at the clips they will end up with a top 5 pick next year and already have Gordon and griffen and Jordan right now!!
To Chicago Kevin Martin Jordan Hill To Houston Chris Paul Omer Asik To New Orleans Taj Gibson Kyle Lowry Marcus Morris Donteas Montejounas Houston 2012 #1 (non-lottery protected) NY 2012 #1 (Top 5 protected) Charlotte pick (via the Bulls) For the Bulls: They give up some depth for a legit SG that fits perfectly next to Rose. For the Hornets: They get an excellent point guard and load of picks and prospects to help facilitate the rebuild. For the Rockets: Cash in thier chips and gamble for a superstar PG. The Rockets retain cap flexibility to make a max offer Howard, or amnesty Scola and have room to make offers for Nene AND Howard. Paul / Dragic / Flynn Lee / Williams Budinger / Parsons Scola / Patterson Asik / Thabeet Potential 2012 lineup: Paul / Llull Lee / Budinger / Parsons Nene / Patterson Howard / Asik
Pretty sure you can't trade that portion of the pick, as the Rockets then wouldn't be guaranteed a first rounder in '12 or '13.
Serious? Serious? He is a SF.. SG's would burn him. Boozer is a way better defender then Scola, whom has everyone wanting to trade to Pacers. Not only a better defender but way more aggressive which any team could use some bullying.
And look where that got the Pacers, in the East. Bird doenst even know what he wants right now. This point is mook....
They plan on using George at the 3. Granger isn't going to be a Pacer to much longer. Although Bird went on paper this week stating he wasn't trading Granger to help with the CP3 trades, I do see him using him later this year as trade bait to land a SG or a PF. Pacers should be targeting David West if you ask me.
They do, but: 1.) The Knicks 2012 is top-5 protected 2.) You already sent your 2012 pick (lottery protected - ongoing until 2016[?]) to NJ If you now also trade the unprotected portion of your 2012 pick, you technically wouldn't be guaranteed a first rounder in 2012 or 2013, because the Rockets could finish, say, 20th this season and 10th next season. Thus you'd have to give away your 2012 1st and your 2013 1st.
If we got our pick for 2k11 and we havent given away our 2k13 (still in possession) then 2k12 is not obligated to have a pick. ?
No. It's all about future draft picks. You have to be guaranteed at least one first rounder in the next two years. It doesn't matter if you had a 2011 first rounder or not.
