That is bull****. I might be in the minority, but I love the way they ref those shots. I love watching Martin pull that stuff, and the opposing crowd groaning in anguish and frusturation.
He fakes guys. The rip moves are less prevalent than his fakes. He gets legit fouls under these rules most of the time.
lmao the nba must have studied gametapes of Kevin Martin while coming up with this. I'm not sure they even needed to study tapes of anyone else.
Yeah, he'll probably still get to the line a decent amount, but to me there's no questions that this will have some impact on Martin. I actually think it's a good rule. I can't stand flopping. It ruins the game. It's just too bad Martin is one of the guys that will most likely be a little less effective now.
The master of the first move is Durant. Remember they are still going to be called, Martin will still be able to get us to the bonus. He will struggle at first but the guy is going to get tons of Fts anyway, the positive thing out of this is that he wont be looking for fouls in crunch time as he did last year ignoring that refs did swallow their whistles, on the other side he could break his career high for traveling calls. I'd like to see how the refs go about this one.
Hopefully that means he takes more shots. His problem is he doesnt take the shots more often and take the game over by trying to shoot more. So regardless he needs to shoot more and he can score more still.
I don't see anything in the rules that affects Martin. He does get legitimately fouled. It's because he's a great shooter. No one would go for his fake if he couldn't make shots uncontested.
