Not enough to win right away-- would still need to add a big center for one thing. But it's a step in the right direction and you can always fill up the rest of the spots. Having CP here makes the job of attracting another star player a much easier job.

As for the guys to be traded in that scenario: Lowry's minutes would have been taken by CP anyway, Motiejunas and Morris haven't played a single minute for this team, and Hill wasn't really a contributor last season.

So, in essence you had the entire rotation from last year (hopefully Chuck Hayes gets retained or upgraded with Nene or Chandler), with CP relacing Lowry.

I don't blame GS though, Curry is special, and CP3's knees may be on the decline....

I would take Curry over CP3....

Yahoo is saying some combination of those players. We know Kyle has to go since we have plenty of PG.

You know, the Rockets could help make the Hornets' problems go away: salary cap, lack-of-contracted players.

But in these trades, teams aim first at that young up-and-coming okay-contract dude (Eric Gordon, Stephen Curry). Neither of whom is being offered. GSW and LAC seem to want to get Paul for nothing because they have no assurances he'll re-sign.

We do have a combo of draft picks and good players. But this always seems to leave us standing outside in the snow with our briefcase in one hand and our hat in the other.

I know its weird because you would think the Rockets have more to offer in rental situations at least. I dont care because Chris Paul is not worth if he wont stay. We can keep building the way Morey has it would just take longer.

Lowry, Martin, Scola and Patterson + picks ??? I'm sorry but Chris Paul is not that good and not even worth Lowry + Martin / Lowry + Scola.

Is Lowry, Scola or Hill injury prone? Because Chris Paul is.

I would not trade Scola, Martin, Lowry and all that for Chris Paul. Just Scola alone is more than enough IMO.

Chris Paul is a bit injury prone, he's weak on defense, and he has a horrible attitude. He treats his teammates like trash and is incredibly arrogant and egotistical.

If I had to pick one "NBA superstar" that is way overrated besides LeBron it would be this guy.

Chris Paul is injury prone. He always seems to have some kind of nagging injury problem.
