He really isn't awful, as long as you don't run plays for him. He was #21 in rebounding last year, despite only 25 mpg. The only other guy in the top 40 for rebounding with equal or fewer minutes was DeJuan Blair (#39, 7 rpg in 21 mpg). Dalembert was #4 in rebounds per minute (Love, Howard #s 1 and 2).

Similar story with blocks: #17, with no one above him playing equal or fewer minutes. #12 in blocks per minute. #16 in blocks/foul (quality blocking, not wild slapping). He's not elite, but he's good in those two categories.

What is your fascination of Dalembert?

He's not that great.

And if it means we lose out on Hayes for freakin Dalembert, Morey deserves to get fired.

 

DM will sign Dalembert and include him in a trade package later in the year.

I think Chuck will still be gone and they will keep Thabeet as the primary backup.

kidding aside, if Daly is the chosen one, we better re-sign Hayes and trade for a SF better than Budinger.

Dalembert is the best man for the job we need him to do: block shots, rebound and intimidate. We do not need another guy to take a lot of shots like Nene, we have Martin, Lowry and Scola for that.

No but seriously. I get that playing Thabeet is your flavor of the off-season but it's one of your worst ideas to date. The guy won't make the rotation in his dreams.

 

I don't mind them getting Dalembert, but I hope they keep Thabeet too.
