He's an idiot... and definitely not worth getting your hopes up over.

He's the equivalent of a magic 8 ball in the NBA news world.

    1) There is about 1% chance he'll stay after his contract is up. He'll be a free agent, he wants go to NY and play with Melo and Amare, and maybe compete with the heat. So you gut your roster to get him, he leaves and then do you just shrug your shoulders and say no one could have seen it coming?

    2) If you gut your roster to trade for Paul, how will we have the assets to trade for DH? If you don't have DH, why will Paul stay and play with a depleted roster? If Paul doesn't give his guarantee that he will stay, why will DH come to Houston? The whole pro "Get CP3, get DH" people don't get the fact that if you only have CP3 as a rental, you have no leverage in getting DH to sign in Houston, because no superstar wants to get Baron Davis'd and end up on a crap team all alone because the other superstar bailed.

    3) Paul isn't worth the max, not with his quitting on D, ego issues, health issues and of course all the off court drama he brings. He's a good player, but certainly not among the best considering he had Okafor and David West (and Ariza LOL) in NO and couldn't do anything with it.

The GSW are under the cap alot, they dont need the cap space that bad especially when no one is signing with them yet. there is experation date on the amnesty so i think alot of teams will surprising hold on to them until they get a Eddie Curry on their rosters.9 million is alot but not ridiculous when Jordan just got offered 8-9 million for coming off the bench. I think there will be fewer amnesty cuts then people believe.

I wonder why the Mavs arent trying to get CP...or maybe they are. Jason Terry+Jason Kidd+Brendan Haywood and if they can add Caron....Not losing much and can prob resign Chandler

Take it for a million grains of salt, but posting this tweet for more comedic and entertainment purposes.

Grain of salt taken, but if this is true, it would be a great deal... I mean, if the Rockets get to upgrade from Lowry to CP while keeping Scola and Martin, not even having to give Patterson, and actually have the Hornets take Hill off our hand. Woah.

The thing about Bob is he's a hit or miss. His tweets are often childish and ignorant but he has been right on a couple of things.

His claim to fame was that he was the first to "break" the news that Revis was going to hold out for a new contract and ultimately "broke" the story that he and the Jets came to an agreement.

I'm praying he is right for once.

You think that's enough talent to win a championship?

If not, then giving up all of that talent plus picks for a rental is a tough pill to swallow.

You still need a big man, but adding even Dalembert makes that team pretty competitive.

As I said, no team is going to trade a great youngster for a non-extended Paul. This is where the Rockets really have an advantage.

There is no way Gordan or Curry is going to be traded without assurance.

I have this depressing theory that Morey is willing to risk everything on a long shot and is planning to bail if it doesn't work out.

Even if we "lose" everything in this gamble, we can finally rebuild through the draft.

Wow. Just being reported on 610 we offered all of those guys for him. Scola, Lowry, Martin, and others things?? That alot. I dont see how anyone else could top it but each team has its own value on players though. I wouldnt do it. Its too much. We would give them a whole team for Chris Paul and he is not as good as all of those players combined. New Orleans would practically restock their team with our talent in one offseason. He better be resigning or Morey has a plan to lure someone else here to get him to want to resign if we do that deal.

Reading comprehension is the key to success.

We never offered ALL of those players, just a COMBINATION of them.
