Well we know he can shoot, pass, and rebound good for a guard, but he is big time undersized to play the 2.

Puberty should help with the development of his physique and his defense.

Maybe we are approaching this whole thing wrong.

Since the Lakers have made it known anyone but Kobe is available for CP3 and DH12, perhaps we could try to get involved as the 3rd team between the Lakers and Magic/Hornets.

In other words, go after Pau or Bynum as part of a 3 way deal.

Turn the evil empires plans to our advantage so to speak.

I say go for it. We've got three million forwards and plenty of assets to part with. Patrick Patterson is not one of them though.

Don't you all get it yet? Chris Paul only wants to go to NY. He will go to NY.

No thanks, too injury prone. CP3 and Chandler or NeNe on the same team would be a disaster in the long run for any team.

[rQUOTEr]Three teams in pursuit of Paul believe the Hornets will push for final offers – and make a decision – by the start of training camp on Friday, front-office sources told Yahoo! Sports. The Clippers’ and Warriors’ packages are the most intriguing to New Orleans general manager Dell Demps, league sources said.[/rQUOTEr]

Why? You set yourself up for disappointment.

HUGE if true, would make the Warriors the instant favorites.

Why do these damn sports writers even mention the Rockets in the first place then?

I rather us not even be mentioned then.

Cause they are reporting facts which are the Rockets are pursuing the trade.

The way to avoid being set up for disappointment is to avoid threads like these even though I am the first to admit they are like crack.....so addicting to read.

Because true rebuilding does two things, it allows you to draft a star(s) instead of having to depend if player likes your city or teammates. It also allows you to have HIGH quality assets instead of high quantity assets.

Morey has assets, yes, but he doesn't have the high quality ones because they refuse to do what's necessary. NOLA wants great young potential and both GSW and LAC have that because they've rebuilt all the way. No guarantee it keeps Paul there but it allows them to make this type of move while Morey and the Rockets are always left at the alter.

Seems normal to me. We have always been more Plan B or C than anything else. One thing to keep in mind is that both teams are hung up on CP3 signing an extension. If that falls apart, we could then be attractive.

It was a long shot to begin with. But hey, when long shot propositions work out is what makes it fun to be a fan. Quite frankly, I'd much rather be a Rockets fan hoping for CP3 than the Laker fan thinking I'm entitled to nothing less than Dwight/CP3/Kobe combo.

    WTF!

I would kill to have the success of the Lakers and warrant that arrogance.

We are stuck in neutral and no team wants our assets.

    :(
