Agree, this is more a Deron situation.

Chandler's destiny apparently could be decisive.

Knowing now that Dallas is not going for him, I think it's our opportunity. So I would decidedly overpay him, if we're talking about 12-13 per year. In the end 3-4 more millions is the quantity of the current contract of Flynn. Let's make some room for Chandler, Daryl. Or should we let pass this opportunity?

That would be a lot to give CP3 especially considering he could just leave for nothing after this season.

 

Before people start complaining about it... he said "Some combination of" meaning some of those guys would be involved.

Sounds like they are all in, I love it. CP3 has franchise changing talent.....gotta at least take a shot.

Doesn't look like the Hornets are interested in our guys so it may not matter who or how much we give up.

 

Our trade would most likely be KMart, Patterson, a pick, and possibly Bud for Paul. If Paul leaves, NO is comfortable handing over the starting PG position to Jack. They want other pieces, a SG, SF, and possibly a big to have a team along with draft picks. We would have to find another trade for Lowry that would bring in other pieces.......like Dwight.

Gives us nothing but Martin/Paul on the books. Could retain Lee, Bud and Patterson with max money for Dwight.

 

CP3 would be one of those pieces that would actually tie the team together, and make it exponentially better. Guys like Jordan Hill and T-Will would probably "get it" if you get a guy like Paul running the show.

Almost the entire team is better "off-the-ball", Paul does dominate the ball, but that is something the Rockets are missing somewhat.

That still trumps anything we can offer. Although if I'm CP3 I'm trying to go to Boston. They can win now and try to sign Howard this summer. Best of both worlds.

 

To at least show Howard or other significant allstar players that we are in the mix, mean relevant again!

I wonder......I've read multiple times tonight that Paul wants Chandler, and knowing that Paul sees David West as a brother (not having played without him ever bla bla bla), should we revamp with a trio of the old hornets???

Sign Chandler and West, and trade for CP3 (he'd be happy right?) If that doesn't work out we can trade away one of the three and replace with the crop of 2012!
