Can Morris or Williams? IMO Bud comes closer to this capability than either ofs those two.

Twill definitely can and can also hold an opposing player to under 15 points.

Twill has yet to prove this in the NBA. He's only proved he can upload videos to YouTube. #Wordapp

As a shooting guard, perhaps. I can't recall seeing him play SF for either the Rockets or the Nets.

Probably correct in the assessment ..... They arent overly quick guy's either but they are big / strong enough to overmatch most 3's. The thing they both have over Morris is a better shot from outside and more range .... tho I expect Morris to improve there over time.

That is what I thought when I saw his quickness and lateral movement in the highlight videos. He seems like he is going to need a lot of work to develop into a NBA level small forward.

Our goal is to make the playoffs. Experimenting too much will do us no good. We need a proven player. Morris, T-Will, Parsons is too much experimenting.
We should make a trade for a legit SF and use Bud as backup.

Looking like this position may be the weakest on the team, if all the recent rumors are to be believed. Gonna be a season long debate. lol

It sucks when our most stable small forward is a rookie. I have no faith or confidence in T-Will or Budinger at this point. I actually think Iguodala would fit in perfectly with this team with his transition game and defense. The only reason I can justify giving T-Will or Budinger minutes at this point is to up their trade value.

I would say our small forward spot is now our weakest with Dalembert in tow at center. And I really like what I've seen from Greg Smith, which bodes well for our future at that spot too.

I keep changing my mind about the 3 position. I am beginning to like Chandler Parsons at this position. He has the speed, length, shooting ability, IQ, & motor. He has been pretty active in team defense. His anticipation (Bird) skills are better than Chase. He has a little bit of that Lowry, it-factor... Based on his play for the Rockets, I don't see why he didn't get picked higher. Except for bulk, I think he has all the tools to play good defense in the league. He just needs to focus on it.

I really think Twill is in the mold of Joe Dumars type 2-guard. Both Isiah and Dumars shared a little bit of the ball handling duties. It was the same thing with Kenny Smith and Vernon Maxwell. The dynamic was a little different, but Tracy and Rafer shared the play-making duties as well.

Given the chance, I think Twill can do it. But the onus should be on the player to show consistency. Twill should just focus on his long range shooting and his defense and I think he will get more playing time.

I concur with everything you said here. Don't know if he is the long term solution. I really expected more out of Marcus Morris. I really think he has superior skills. But Marcus appears to be more worried about fitting in and not getting in the veterans way. Parsons is just going out there and playing. And doing very well also. The comment about his "Bird" skills of anticipation and being in the right place before the play comes his way, there's a lot to be said for that instinct. Parsons is a basketball player, he's got great instincts on the floor, and he's got very good size for the SF spot. Not the quickest guy, he'll get beat by smaller SFs but everybody is going to get beat by somebody. Even though Chase just blew it up the last game, I still feel like Parsons would be better next to Martin because he has better defensive skills and size.

Time will tell this season that a Martin/Chase combo at the wing positions will not get it done defensively. They'll have occasional nights where they are ripping the nets down with their shooting and their shooting will in effect become their defense, but when it comes down to crunch time for a sharp playoff run and when it comes down to crunch time against teams that are fighting for playoff positioning, the defensive softness at the wing with Martin/Chase out there will prove to be too much for their shooting to overcome. We need Parsons and Morris to really step up to have a chance to do anything this year.

People's understimating Melos's first step. He's really quick. I don't think Morris has that explosiveness. As quick as the current Pierce, ok, as quick a Melo, I don't see that.

Funny how our worst positions are where our best player retired from and our second best was shipped out for assets.

30-10-10 has only happened 148 times. Not 148 different players, individual games where a player did this. MJ, Bird, Magic and Lebron account for 56/148 of these games.

Hakeem accounts for the 1 time a Houston Rocket has ever pulled it off with a 37-13-12 line in 1994.

    Pretty tough standards.
