You realize that by lying and calling the stains "water" that any suggestions you get will not actually work for you?
Buy some denatured alcohol from the hardware store, slightly damp cotton cloth (damp with alcohol, not water), one dry cloth. Wipe surface with alcohol (will have to re-saturate often as it will evaporate), then dry with dry cloth. This should clear the spots decently while also killing any potential mold that could be forming. You don't know how the leather was treated, though, so test in a less visible spot first...and as small as possible.

You probably needed a quantifier or an adjective like "a" or "one" before that adjective like you did with "some," and then it wouldn't have been read as a verb. Just FYI.
