I laughed so hard when I saw this. This really makes you appreciate what a great mascot we have with Clutch the Bear.

You can create a Phil E. with anything. Phil E. Smiths, Phil E. Baby Seals, etc.

    Just awful.

I hope they go with the cartoon Ben Franklin if only because I'd be curious to see how they pull it off. Does the guy playing the mascot wear just a mask or a full costume of Ben Franklin?

According to reliable texts, Ben Franklin had a vigorous sex life with many partners, so I hope they use this opportunity as a teachable moment. Their new mascot can basically ignore the game, walking around courtside, rolling up to shawtees with mad founding daddy game.

If the Ben Franklin were in a giant suit(and not just some guy dressed like him) thatd be straight up hilarious..

They could dress up this furry turd in a Sixers jersey.

Does anyone know how the Rockets ended up with a bear for a mascot? Just curious.

This....although that's probably why it won't happen. The moose makes the most sense as a mascot. A dog is too general.

What was wrong with Hip Hop?

    Great comment from the page:

Iverson would be a perfect choice for the mascot. He wouldn’t have to practice and could just show up for the games. Get it done Sixers!

Probably will look something like my alma mater's mascot, the fighting Quaker:

Personally, I'd vote for Ben Franklin, but it's got to be stylized like the Washington Nationals "President's Race":

I normally don't like basketball mascots, usually because they have little to do with the city or the team.

Out of all of them Big Ben probably is best, but I'd rather most teams have their own creative niches rather than mascots.

You can't go wrong with a dog mascot.

Can't they have like a boxer mascot? That'd be kinda cool.
