he's been everywhere making plays on the field... down the field helping out on the pass plays and helping out with making hits on the running backs.. he definitely deserves a mention in the pro-ball balloting

As Bill Cosby always said, "You see, the proof is in the puddin'"

Joseph, Kareem, Quin, Manning are the secondary for the top rated defdense in opponent's passer rating as well as the 4th in DVOA (Defense-adjusted Value Over Average per football outsiders).

Joseph, Kareem, Quin, Manning has proven itself to be the best or one of the best secondaries.

I hear what you're saying, but ultimately we can speculate about the former while we have solid evidence from the latter: they are part of the #1 defense in the NFL.

Is it really that big of a help when you've just downgraded your safety significantly? Back when PayMe was here, we had good CB play and bad S play. I like the current situation better.

He's really been a plus in the secondary this year for us. I've been a fan of his since he had 3 picks in one game last year, lol.

Its awesome that they're number 1, and it is a ginormous step up from where they've ever had their defense. But looking beyond that stat, and watching the games, when a qb sees 25 on the field, he's going to be picked on. We saw it and lucked out Sunday, we especially saw it week 3 when Moore caught 5 in a row on Kareem. To a lesser extent we saw Miami picking on Allen also.

I remember when we had Drob here also, and it pained me becauseno matter how good he looked before the injury, teams would pick on 38, and Petey was another cb whose strength was run support. I guess I am more enamored with replicating Joseph's situation in cincy where JJ and Hall formed an elite duo. KJ is a hitter if nothing else, and if he was a safety I think he'd be just as impressive as GQ looks as far as run support demands of the position goes. Not that I am suggesting it, but I think its a skillset that is showing up for Troy.

And money factors in also. I'd love to get another FA corner next year but there's a price premium on the position like how bigs get overpaid in the NBA. An average CB would demand just as much as a good safety.
