If they dont want to be here? They can go stuff it during negotiations. I only want guys who want to play for the Rockets and not the just the money. No need to be in on all of these guys negotiations unless they show sincere interest. I dont want to help drive up the prices for whoever they go to and add to their accounts if they are not serious about coming here.

I posted this in Bima's cap thread too....

I am curious what Morey's top dollar is on Nene. 13.71 million would certainly be a lot, but I still think it's not terrible for the Rockets and it seems like a number Nene would take.

Also, is it realistically just between us and the Nets for Nene?

Yetti you need to check your numbers. He shot 61.5% from the field and 71.1% from the free throw line. He also averaged 2 assists, 1 block, and 1 steal per game.

If I recall correctly, he led the league FG%.

Anyway, signing Nene is a no brainer, even at 13 million.

Still leaves some cap room for a max cat next offseason.

If we flat out sign Nene before CP3 is traded it could absolutely happen.

I like Nene a lot, even tho I think he is PF, but credit to him, because he knows how to play the game, he is very efficient playing Center.

I just hate the amount of money decent to good Centers get in this league. And the thing is, if you don´t pay them, you will be left behind, because there is going to be a team that does so.

Agents agree market for secondary big men on hold until we see where the top guys fall. After that, madness.

Top guys? Meaning CP3 and Howard maybe?

What a dilemma for Mavs: Surrender 2012 by losing Chandler, gear up for 2013+ dream of D-Will/Dirk. Can they find a middle ground?

No, top guys meaning Nene, Chandler, and Gasol.

After that, we get DeAndre Jordan, Dalembert, David West, etc.

Gasol the 'cheapest' of all. Who woulda thought?

    Pass on Nene/Chandler.

None of those 3 guys are maximum contract guys.
