Martin, Air Bud for Granger Scola for Asik and Bob Cats 1st. Sign Nene Lowry/ Flynn / Dragic Lee/ Twill Granger / Morris Nene / Patterson / Hill Asik/ Thabeet
Doesnt make sense for IP.... Doesnt make sense for CB... did you think about the other teams when doing these trades??? I really doubt thats a legal trade for CB anyways
It definitely makes sense for the Bulls to do that trade. They want Scola they have Noah. Asik does not equal Scola they have the pick. They can amnesty Boozer if they want or trade him elsewhere to make room. Or if they wish to trade for Howard they still have Noah and Boozer to make an offer maybe we facilitate it. Makes sense for the Pacers because they could have Reggie Miller 2.0 and they would love Chase and it makes room for George to start. Collison Martin George Sign David West with cap room. Hibbert They are right into the playoff mix. Rose Sign a SG (Butler?) Deng Scola Noah 2nd best team in the east. I didn't check finances but both trades make sense.
bulls have boozer and gibson. they dont need scola. if anything, we would get asik by trading lee and something else. granger would be a nice get though. i wonder if the pacers would want scola since they are in the market for a 4. some trade revolving around scola and pieces for danny granger. that would be great
The Bulls have Boozer at a high contract. THE BULLS WOULDNT HAVE THE CAP SPACE PERIOD. Can we please have a BIMA quiz before being allowed to post in this thread???
They are in the mix for 4 (and 2) but if they are competing they wont want to trade Granger. And please people, stop saying its to let George grow cause if your letting someone grow then your really not competing so still no need for an old PF ie Scola (they would prefer Pat....)
- Trade Courtney Lee, Goran Dragic, & Chase Budinger to the Chicago Bulls for Omer Asik, Kyle Korver, & a future first round draft pick. - Sign Samuel Dalembert & Vince Carter. Depth Chart 1) Kyle Lowry / Jonny Flynn 2) Kevin Martin / Vince Carter 3) Terrence Williams / Kyle Korver / Chandler Parsons 4) Luis Scola / Patrick Patterson / Jordan Hill 5) Samuel Dalembert / Omer Asik / Hasheem Thabeet
3D as in Defense Rockets overpay for DeAndre Jordan 10.6 mil + 4.5% increase for 4 years Rockets trade Scola, Flynt for Josh Smith Rockets trade Martin,Morris + 1st Rounder for Iggy, Lou Williams Rockets able to sign Jordan after amnestying Jordan Hill and renouncing Chuck Lineup Jordan/Thabeet Smith/Patterson Iggy/Williams Lee/Wiliams Lowry/Dragic Rockets have extremely long, athletic, defensive frontiline as well as defensive backcourt. Will still have expring contracts of Thaeet, Williams, Dragic, Lee at end of season to pursue 2012 free agent.
1) If the Bulls amnesty Boozer they lose $60 million for nothing. 2) The Bulls aren't making any kind room trading Boozer. The only way he goes is in a trade is for another bad contract in return.
From competing perspective- Rocket/ Sixers/ Bulls TRADE - Rockets receive - SF Andre Iguodala, C Omar Asik Philly receives - PF Luis Scola, SF Chase Budinger, PF/C Jordan Hill Bulls receive - SG Courtney Lee 2011/2012 Houston Rockets roster- PG: Lowry / Dragic /Flynn SG: Martin / Williams SF: Iggy / Parsons PF: Patterson / Morris C: Asik / Thabeet/ Fesenko(FA)
Hmmm, Im quite sure the trade talks of Lee/Asik started last year and Lee wasnt good enough alone to get the deal done, dont think anything changed now. Remember, Big men are worth a lot. Not sure if thats enticing enough to 76'ers, especially since they got Brand at the 4....
Houston Rockets / Indiana Pacers Rockets Receive: Paul George + filler Pacers Receive: Scola + Bud Apparently George is up to 6'10". He is going to be a beast in this league. I am not sure if Indy would bite, they rate George highly. Lowry/ Dragic/Flynn Martin/Lee/ T Will George/Morris/Parson Patterson/Hill ??/Thabeet/Hayes (?)
scola/bud/lowry/2nd pick for iggy/young/williams hopefully sign nene or chandler or gasol WILLIAMS MARTIN IGGY YOUNG GASOL young team with some strong vets in iggy and martin and very athletic
Alright let me give this a try. Trade 1 ... Houston rockets trade PF Luis Scola to NJ for Travis outlaw and far in the future first round picks. New jersey has traded 2 of its first already to utah but at what cost.... with Scola , new jersey now has a legit trio with williams, scola, and lopez and they need to get scola to convince williams to stay in NJ. Houston has a log-jam at the PF position and by trading scola it will free up space for 2pat and Hill as well as the rest of our young bigs. If the young players on the rockets flounder ... no big deal we get a top pick. Also we can either amnesty outlaw ( I think so but am not sure on the rules of the amnesty clause ) or try to flip him to a contender for a pick or 2. Maybe those picks become nothing but at least we have freed up space. But maybe we can find a 3rd team interested in outlaw and convince them to give up picks instead. Maybe Deron leaves anyways and NJ has 5 straight years in the lottery. Trade 2 ... now to get rid of martin.... and when i say get rid of i dont mean give him away as cheaply as scola. Martin is one of the best deals in the NBA right now and should not be let go of unless we can get fair value. Many people have suggested trading Martin to the Bulls for Asik and a pick .... i like that deal the problem is .... the bulls dont have anyone to give up to match salaries with martin and then a 3rd team has to get involved. The only contracts on the bulls close to Martin's are Dengs and Boozer... both of those deals have 3 years left on them and if we amnesty a player from the scola trade then we wont be able to get out of them. Out of the teams that i have looked at so far... denver seems like the best option. They really need players and the bulls and rockets have a few decent young players they can offer to get the nuggets to help with matching salaries. this is the trade http://espn.go.com/nba/tradeMachine?tradeId=6sydzfv with of course the CHA pick being given to the rockets. Denver gets really good return for andre miller and chicago gets martin for not too steep of a price ... ( brewer and gibson and asik ) while houston gets a young center prospect and a veteran backup pg who really can teach our younger players something and is still an expiring contract.. It may seem like CHI gives up alot but with martin they are the most complete team in the east. with these 2 deals... houston looks like this. Thabeet/Asik/Hayes Pat/Hill/ Hayes Bud/Morris .... ( Outlaw if you decide to keep him and try to contend this year ... maybe you think pat is an upgrade over Scola in which case you keep martin ) Lee/Twill Lowry/Dragic/Miller I dont know how many wins that team is good for but it is young and has lots of potential. So we will prolly end up picking pretty high in the draft. Plus in the future we will have extra picks for NJ and Cha .... and possibly denver. So these trades in my mind give us 3 things that alot of people seem to want .... a good shot at a high pick this year. 2 getting good to decent value in return for trading martin and scola ( this is the subjective part of the trade ) and 3 TONS of cap space in 2012 should we want to go after howard. Personally i would like to see us find a way to get scola and martin to other teams regardless of the trade scenario.... i like them as players but i think that it is highly unlikely that we will be able to contend while they are here. So....... comments, questions, snide remarks ... hit me up .
^^^ I don't understand why Denver is even involved in the Martin trade. I say that, because no way Chicago dumps that much for martin. Martin for Asik/Charollett'es first rounder. You achieve the same results and don't get miller's old ass on this team. And why do you have Thabeet ahead of Asik on your depth chart?
I would love to do Martin for Asik and Cha first BUT .... it cant happen... the salaries are too far apart ... i would be exstatic if that trade went down... but it cant actually happen. I think you are overestimating how much Chicago dumps for martin ... Gibson and Brewer are nice and all but brewer plays the same position and Gibson is only a backup how vital are they to the team. With martin Chicago is an instant favorite in the east Rose Martin Deng Boozer Noah thats a great 5 and really reserves will line up to play for that team ( like t-mac lol ) Miller was just a random contract that i found on some 3rd team that seemed to make sense for me. I didnt like this deal as much as the Scola one but it still makes sense to me. If you can find a better 3rd team that makes salaries match and gets something out of it be my guest. But at least Miller is an expiring contract and maybe we could get denver to throw in a protected pick for taking him off their hands and giving them such a nice return for him ... the denver pick would have to be pretty protected though.
