Yeah that Chalkie jail scene was pretty great. Hinting at his illiteracy and his reactions to the guy trying to call him out repeatedly. You find out more about his character effectively this way rather than some long monologue.

Last Nights Episode was easily one of the greatest of this Series so far. It truly showed the reasons for which Jimmy is so messed up. Something tells me he will naturally blame Nucky for what happened to his Wife....

Mother******. You could always tell there was that weird relationship between Jimmy and his mom. Glad to see they explained it but damn... that came out of nowhere. More importantly, I think the death of his wife is going to have a strain on the relationship between Jimmy and Richard. Either way, can't wait for the finale!
Not really, it makes a lot of sense in the grand scheme of things and how Jimmy has acted. The wife and I have always kind of figured there was some sort of incest deal going with him and his Mom. Him killing his Dad was hardly a shock either, or his mom's "finish him" angle. Last night's episode was pretty damn impressive, IMO, can't wait to see what happens in the finale.
So pumped for the season finale: -Nucky's girl turning on him through her self-loathing and testing Nucky's limits -Jimmy's life turned upside down and losing his mind -Van Alden on the run -Manny Horvitz on the hunt -Horrow looking for revenge -Chalky looking for revenge Damn, this is going to be good and has been amazing.
yes, it seems to be the most obvious comparison. Gretchen Mol is such a great actress. The look of pure lust on her face as Jimmy wails on his teacher was emoted perfectly.
Just to add to the chorus: the last episode was truly outstanding. Two years of this show was building up to those payoffs, one right after another. "I'll take him up to bed," she says, grandson in arms.
Hopefully this year's finally will be better than last year's. Season 1 was like a whole year of setting the stage, introducing characters and story lines, and leaving it on a major cliffhanger. I don't mind cliffhangers, but I hope the season 2 finale ties up a lot of loose ends too.
