    Easy call.

    Bama lost to #1
    OSU lost to unkranked

Bama ain't losin' to ****ing Iowa State. I can tell you that much. OSU doesn't deserve the big game. They should have taken care of business.

Alabama was the better team in that game. If you disagree, you didn't watch the game.

...but a loss is a loss.

Maybe...but they're not better than Iowa St.

Looking at the numbers. I think it will be OSU. OSU was already ahead in most of the computer, and the Coaches poll is a wash:

    2 Alabama 11-1 1399
    3 Oklahoma State 11-1 1367

2008 National Champs Florida Gators lost at home to unranked.

OSU lost on the road in 2OT. Bama lost at home in OT.
OSU has better wins in a stronger conference.

OSU has the 6th hardest SOS (Sagarin ratings). Alabama is 23 and LSU is 18 in SOS.

Big XII with their 10 teams round out the top 10 hardest SOS. Auburn has has the hardest SOS of all non-Big XII teams, ranked at 11.

Alabama had their chance; give OSU a chance. To me, it is a no brainer. To give Bama a rematch is not fair.

The defined point of the BCS is to get the two best teams to play each other. Being in the same division as the #1 team doesn't mean you're not the #2 team. Whether that should be changed or not shouldn't really matter in this discussion.

    Fun, totally cherry-picked stat:
Average result of Bama vs. 6-6 teams: 32-6 in 3 games
Average result of OkSt vs. 6-6 teams: 31-33 in 2 games

    :)

LSU has proven that they are in a separate category throughout this season.

Alabama might be admittedly a better than us from what I've seen, but not by much- mainly because of that offense. Yes, Richardson is truly a beast, but their QB is still relatively inexperienced and that offense hasn't faced an offense that is as balanced as ours and with the set of receivers we have.

But come game time- things can change so much during the course of a game and this is why a playoff is the only possible objective solution. But that's likely to never happen so the best we can hope for is to adopt some similar concepts from the college basketball selection committee

To punish them for losing to the #1 seed is? This poll is a joke. Bama easily.

I'm not trying to talk trash about Okie State, but this same line has gotten used for the last 5 BCS championship games.

06 Ohio State's offense can't be stopped...7 points on offense
07 Ohio State's offense is a beast...17 points on offense
08 Oklahoma's offense is the greatest off all time....14 points on offense
09 Alabama hasn't seen an offense like Texas has....21 points on offense
10 Oregon is just too damn fast for Auburn....19 points on offense

How many times do we have to see the same thing before everyone will admit that the SEC plays defense on a level that no one else can compete with right now?

Who thought Ohio State had a high powered offense?
Texas was playing a back up QB and almost won the game. Oregon and Oklahoma did have great offenses that got stopped. I think the long layoff between games hurts offenses more than defenses, so this gives an advantage to SEC teams.

McCoy was 2/2 and was at Bama's 11 yard line 4 plays into the offense when he was knocked out. Garrett Gilbert of all people led a Texas team without as good of running game as this 7-6 Texas team to 21-24 with 11 minutes to go in the 4th quarter. We have Colt, we win the game, easy.
