They were down 8.... they didn' have the luxury to run clock AND get a for-sure TD. 10 seconds is too much time for Rodgers.
And if you're in a struggle for this game and your division, you don't have the luxury of giving a team like Green Bay that much time to work with. I guess it is a double edge sword of sorts.
They were in FG range literally in 15 seconds. There is no such thing as "too much time" for them. They're literally playing in another league right now, at least offensively. Its a collision course for Packers vs. Saints. It would be a shame if they would meet up before the conference championship.
Definitely won't happen. Green Bay will finish #1 and the Saints will be either #2 or #3. I doubt the Saints will catch the 49ers.
Last time I checked, the Texans are 6-0 since then and the Raiders have lost 3 times. Welcome to December!
NFL re-seeds, correct? The only way the Packers play the Saints in the divisional round is if the Saints finish as the #4 seed or lower. If the Saints are #2 or #3, and they make the divisional round (if #3), they would play the #2 seed. EDIT: sorry, just reread your post... I see you're agreeing with me. Should be exciting.
And the Texans beat Miami in Miami. I'd worry about the Raiders winning the division or missing the playoffs alltogether, rather than if they're better than the Texans (which they're not).
Yes, they re-seed, but if the Saints win their home game in the wild-card round, they are the highest advancing seed and automatically play the 49ers next.
