Well not just that, if he sees it coming, he can better prepare himself for the hit and have less of a chance of getting killed (or just hurt). Hits like that lead to concussions... something the Texans cannot afford the young guy to have so early in his career.
He was clearly trying to rear back to pass it though, he wasn't even looking to step up. And it wasn't like it was a blind side hit, he needs to be able to see that coming. He's been playing well, mistakes happen.
