    Patrick Patterson
    Courtney Lee
    Hasheem Thabeet

    for

    Danny Granger
    second round pick

I dont see this happening till near trade dealine if Pacers are still having troubles and decides to go young having a young line up of:

    Collison
    Lee
    George
    Patpat
    Hibbert

Great young line up that can only promise good in the future to come. Only problem is they are all on rookie contracts and when it comes time to resigning, dadadaduuuuh.

    Us, its easy to see.
    Lowry
    Martin
    Granger
    Scola
    Hayes or FA

Replace Patterson with Scola and add Rush and you got a deal.

sure we got a deal but they dont. ive been saying it forever. Why would a team trade vet for vet if they go young. I would rather keep Patpat, he is one of my favorites but Pacers are not going with that kinda trade, it doesnt make sense.

Wow i love this trade and i dont even like asik. ... I think/ pray that Thabeet will become a serivcable center especially in terms of defense. And the charlotte pick is the main reason i do that deal. Bulls have to seriously consider it also, i mean , martin would make them awesome. As for the indy trade i love it. But i think we have to take a pretty bad contract off their hands to get it done. Tough to make the salaries match too

I think by if the end of the year our starting 5 is

    thabeet
    pat
    morris/paul
    williams
    lowry

not only will we have landed in the top 8 picks but we will be looking forward to seeing those 5 play again next year because i think with time Williams and Thabeet will pan out.

Its funny how that roster actually fits perfectly

    you have a defensive center
scoring 4 in case of montiejunas ( if he pans out ) or a well rounded 4 in pat who can also shoot the J. Then you have a big 3 in morris or a shooting 3 in george. Mix and match with patpat and D-Mo ... then for 2's you have a great passing 2 in williams who can create his own shot and slash... or a shooter in lee ... then you have a great field general on top of that.

Basically alot of things have to go right for that to happen.... but here is the best part. If they dont ... you now have 3 picks in the next draft and a charlotte pick somewhere down the line to add more players.

The reason why is because they don't have confidence in Hansborough to be their starting PF. Hence the reason why you see them going after Nene, West, Landry, Millsap, etc.

If you trade Scola for Granger, both sides get what they want. I'd throw in Budinger as well for the white Indy crowd.

I think George is their future SF and Granger hinders his growth.

We get that SF we desperately need and also a get an opportunity to sign a guy like Nene and re-sign Chuck

This would be our ideal lineup

    Lowry/Dragic
    Martin/Rush
    Granger/Williams
    Patterson/Morris
    Nene/Hayes

The key is to not overspend on any FA so we have enough capspace for 2012.

Where are you reading your basketball news? Cause one of the ones I posted seems quite opposite of what you just said, about Tyler.

If your contending, why would you get rid of Granger?
If your rebuilding, why would you want Scola?

You stick on a path, going for it now or later. Giving Scola for Granger defeats that purpose because. Give a vet for a young. Or give a young for the vet.

If you want to keep Patpat, like I would rather, then this would be your offer. But this indicates we're more in the rebuild mode.

Trade Scola for George, both of them. Paul George and George Hill.

If we decide to not tank, we still need to get a great pick from this loaded draft and the only way to do that is to trade for it. That's the true key to being competitive while still rebuilding.

    Jazz Get:
    Lee
    Dragic
    Thompson (Kings)
    Thabeet
2012 1st rd pick from NY (Hou)

    Kings Get: Scola
    2014 1st rd pick (Jazz)
    2013 2nd rd pick (Hou)

    Rockets Get:
    Jefferson (Jazz)
    2012 1st rd pick (Kings)

Why Jazz do it: They fill they're need for a backup pg and Lee fills they're need at sg. A frontcourt of Favors, Thompson, and Enes Kanter makes Millsap expendable to go and get a better SF and Thabeet's exp. contract and the 1st rd pick from NY may put them over the top.

Why Kings do it: They need a legit PF and Scola is definitely capable of filling that. This allows them to move Cousins to the C position which is the position he's more comfortable at.

Why Rockets do it: LEGIT CENTER!! It also removes alot of the logjam on our team, allows more time for developing young guys while still being competitive, and that 2012 Kings pick could possibly land us a great player in the draft (depending if they suck or not).

    Lowry/ Flynn
    Martin/T-will
    Bud/Morris
    Ppat/ Hill
    Jefferson/ X

X is whoever we sign to that position from free agency.

Utah would do it because they have a harder time getting players than we do.
Indy is after Millsap since the getgo.
    Houstons lineup

    Lowry/Flynn/Llull
    Lee/Twill
    George/Morris
    Scola/Morris
    Jefferson/hayes

with picks 12million in expiring deals and we stay under the cap.

Pacers are in a great situation. They've got their high upside players who. They've got cap space, so they don't need to trade Granger.

They also don't need to trade Granger to make room for Nene. If the minimum team salary is $49 million this season then they will need to spend $15 million this anyway.

Bird has stuck with Granger for so long and always maintained he will only trade a star player for a star player. He's even given the reason that they won't be able to sign a star player in free agency is because they are a small market cold weather team.

Martin, Lowry, Patterson, Morris, and all of our 2012 draft picks for Chris Paul. That should give us enough cap space in 2012 to sign Dwight Howard if we dump Thabeet and Flynn. 2012 lineup:

    PG: Paul/Llull
    SG: Lee/Williams
    SF: Budinger/Parsons
    PF: Scola/Motiejunas
    C: Howard/Hill

    I like it, too.
-Beasley as rental while Morris matures
-Randolph has all the "tools" and with KMH - the sky maybe the limit
-If it all falls apart more cap space for 2012
-All this can happen b/c P. Patterson is ready to start IMO
    -Beasley > Budinger
-KMH likes to go - "big"
-we have a lot of "shooters" on the team for spacing

Well my one trade idea is revisiting that whole Omer Asik for Courtney Lee trade, except this time I'd add C-bud orT-will and Jordan Hill as sweeteners. The bulls need swing men badly, and T-will or C-bud will give them another creator while Hill can serve as a warm body, and maybe another project they can work on. We lose value on the trade but considering the glut on both forward slots I think its worth it. A C rotation of Hayes and Asik would be pretty damn good.

    Bynum/Cousin
    Patterson/Hill
    Morris/Budinger/Blakely

    TWill/Dragic/Flynn

    LA gets Howard
    Houston gets their Center
Orlando get combination of young players and vets (not sure if worth it)

Sign Nene and play him at the 4 and no superstars needed for our own dynasty!
