Yeah it blows, but Arian did run for 155 against the Steelers without Vickers. The O Line played terribly last week, if they step it up today the run game should be fine.
Agreed... I just know that with Vickers, even though the other teams knew we were going to run, we were still able to run effectively. Last week, we saw what can happen to the running game both without Vickers and with the other team expecting it. Foster is still capable of breaking off big runs (which he did in both the Steelers game as well as the Jags game to yield the bulk of his running yards)... but the chances of them being able to simply run at will goes down without Vickers.
Completely unrelated to the game...but can ya'll believe that the Texans pass defense was SO bad last year that Tim Tebow threw for over 300 yards against us? Now we're the beez kneez. Unreal.
Mark Sanchez was allowed to drive nearly the entire field in under a minute... David Garrard was allowed to complete a desparation hail mary pass... Tebow had his best game passing ever, and has not had a game like that since (despite continuing to win games)... McNabb had his last great game as a pro against Houston... even though the Texans won. Unbelievable waste of a season... but like I said before, they answered a helluva lot of questions by being able to turn the defense around.
I will not be disappointed with this season if we're one and done in the playoffs. Acquiring Wade Phillips was the Texans' best move this off season.
