I like this thought process, but instead of hayes, why not just play thabeet opposite of jefferson?

We need to go after Deron Williams. Chris Paul and Dwight are pipe dreams for this team. Deron Williams could be had and he might just sign here too. Deron Williams is who Morey if he was really smart would concentrate on. Then sign Nene and make this place attractive with one or the other.

Nene and Deron Williams. Making this place attractive destination and big market at the same time. Making it more likely Deron Williams resigns and maybe even brings a Super friend here one day with him.

The problem I see with rebuilding is that you end up losing desirable players who are in contract years to FA because they want to play on a "win now" team, instead of enduring another year of frustration. I think it's tough for the players we want to keep when we're in rebuilding mode, because they want to go where the marquis players are.

If NY doesn't have the pieces to trade for CP3, why not have a 3-team trade that involved the rockets?! I would definitely consider trading a asset/young talent to get our hands on Mozgov. He's a little rough but he has potential and a supreme post player like McHale can unleash it.

If Morey gets us Bogut, I don't know what I'd do.

Most underrated center in the league and maybe a better overall defender than Howard?

Because Deron Williams won't re-sign with us and Proky won't trade him at all?

    I'm down for that.

I'm intrigued by Morris. Any thing that will let him start or significant minutes is fine by me.

He reminds me alot of a poor man's Carmelo with better defense.

His DE profile says he is a cross between Al Harrington meets David West.

Certainly if David West can make an all-star team, Morris could make one in the future as well.

Fesenko and gray are some true space eaters. We could get either one.

If Utah decided to cut ties with Al-Jeff to make room for their young frontcourt, why would they take Scola?

Pretty sure these two gentlemen eat more than just space.

Al Jefferson is really 6-8 1/4.

Chuck Hayes may have trouble guarding Al Jefferson, but that doesn't really tell you anything about how good a player he is.

Jefferson is a skilled post player who isn't reliant on going by or overpowering people. That combined with the fact that he's got some range on his jumper gives Chuck trouble as he can't use his strength and quickness as well against a guy like Jefferson as he can against say Griffin or Stoudemire.

That however doesn't change the fact that Jefferson is a terrible defender, unwilling passer and needs lots of touches to be effective. Or ineffective rather, because effective on offense, Al Jefferson is not.
