Stay away from Biostar motherboard and especially one without USB3(totally mendatory) don't buy a cheap PSU that come with the case. A good PSU is pretty important so never go cheap on it with a no name. You left out the most important part of the system Video Card and a HDD. Asus ENGTX570 DCII or Asus ENGTX580 DCII is the one I would go for. Excellent for OC if you want to.

    right.

Let's go back to my post.

Battlefield: Bad Company 2 is not new.
Plus in the chart you see they are saying you just need a good dual core CPU. Dual core has been out a while and thus qualifies as "pretty old"

It was for DD who said he had a video card. I would be fine with a Rosewill psu as his system is only going to pull 350w max unless he has a 570/580.

Biostar makes as good a MB as any other (Asus, Gigabyte, ASRock, MSI, etc) for the price range...
Good catch with the missing USB 3.0. Missed that.

You would be lucky to get 350W from that POS.

Scratch that, you would be lucky if that POS didn't kill your system.

pos cannot be judged by wattage. there is a reason that 1 pos is 100 + and one comes with the case.

The consistency of voltages without spikes and how your pos converts the power to voltage without spiking. How it cools the cpu. Clean power, are all factors, and ****ty pos are just that.

At the very least you need a pos that costs about 89.00 to 100.00. But better pos, such as the one I own, the turbo cool pc power and cooling is a good investment at 269.00 for one.

See if you have any books / text books to sell to amazon. I sold 4 books, and it paid for my second EVGA 570 GTX SC .

(Amazon credit, and then purchased on amazon)

I guess I called by PS a P.O.S. lol I actually didn't even think before i wrote that.

Anyway, the first book I read on building pcs, PC Hardware in a Nutshell, basically converted me to the higher end Power Supplies.

So, I kinda stuck with it. My current system probably benefits from the Turbo Cool 860, since I have my video cards in a crossfire configuration.

I can't even see myself buying the coriars, even though fanboys recommend them ad nausea. :)

Semantics... We have different views on what is old.

The Witcher 2 is cpu intensive as well as many open world games like GTA and Mafia.

Dude, they got a 3 frame drop running it with 2 cores at 3Ghz.

That's pretty much like running it with a Intel Core 2 Duo E6850 at the stock clock speed.

    Which was released in 2007.

So if you want to claim that isn't pretty old, feel free.

Lets look at the second part of my post you disagreed with (and seems like you didn't read)

You see where it says 1280x1024 on those benchmarks? In the math world we like to call that LESS THAN 1920x1200.

That is the resolution they chose to test out the performance, not the max resolution their monitor can handle. If the resolution on those benchmarks were higher then the frames would drop even on more. That is not helping your case.
