Fair enough, he will get a completely clean slate with McHale, let's see what happens.

It would be great if he blossoms....

Are you TWill's cousin or something? Because if you are truly a Rockets fan, you'd be disgusted at how he didn't even care to play during garbage time. Like he's too good a player for that sort of thing.

He might not have been given a chance, but he certainly contributed to that lack of a chance by being an a-hole.

Before Battier was dealt he was given minutes at PF to open up more minutes for Lee. It was during this time Lee improved. When Battier was traded, Budinger stepped up and improved.

Even Battier improved after his trade to Memphis. Good players benefit from consistent minutes and defined roles.

I'm sure Morey now knows you can't have too many guys of similiar levels at the same positions.

I'm not basing my opinions on what happened in Jersey. Just what went on last season alone. If he doesn't play for Mchale then that will obviosuly be on Williams.

About what you mentioned earlier: We can debate all day about how much Williams needs the ball in his hands, how easily it would be to shut him down, not fitting the system etc. But as much research as these scouts and Morey does about these players, they obviously know his strengths and weaknesses. They traded for him

T will's problem is his body language.
He pretty much embodies everything about McGrady that we hated.
Doesn't play hard all the time, talks/tweets too much without backing it up, is not willing to reform or mold his game to better his team.

Skillwise he is everything we need at the SF spot. Slasher, athtletic, ball handler, play maker.

Between him, Budinger, and Morris, I really hope that one will emerge as a quality SF. My bet is on Morris though because he seems to have that drive the other two are missing.

I think his problem has been an inability or refusal to play within the system.

If and when he learns to harness his talent within the system, I believe he will play and contribute.

T-will can't shoot and he pouted when he didn't have the ball in his hands. The spaz even tried to take the ball away from one of his teammates at one point last year. He showed some nice vision at times last year but he would completely cancel it out and then some by idiotic decisions with the ball that led to turnovers or poor shots taken by him. Williams has been a bad shooter in his 2000 NBA minutes and during his entire college career and his shot selection is equally as bad as his shot. I hope Williams has learned how to play off the ball during this off season, but I highly doubt he has.

I agree about him pouting etc. But I believe it was because how he felt he was being treated after he was traded there. Just like any human would struggle with that at any type of job. He did not handle himself well. How much he's grown from last year and how he handles himself this year is entirely up to him.

No I'm not his cousin or something. Yes I am truly a Rockets fan, and I'm a fan of the entire team, including Williams. How he handled his circumstances was wrong. I agree.
But I understand why he might have felt the way he did. Might have played the way he played when he finally got PT. If he has that same approach this season, its entirely on him. Then as a Rockets fan id be disgusted with him....then ill agree that he's a failure and/or a bust as a Rocket.

It would be great if TWill got it together. He's talented no doubt, but I agree it seems that his attitude is holding him back. I'm particularly intrigued by his passing ability, he has some T-Mac quality in that respective.

He has the best court vision on the team, he has the tools, but he needs to get his mind right.

He seems to have "I want to be a star" itis, where he is more concerned with being famous than winning basketball games.

If he flipped that, he would be fine, and might get everything he wants....

I don't know what gives some of you the thought this guy is finally going to have an epiphany. What's the difference between him and all first round busts? Not a thing, only his attitude is even worse. We hope Hill, Thabeet, and TWill might finally turn it around but realistically it's not going to happen.

How in the WORLD can someone make the case that TWill doesn't have poor character, at this point?

Unless they just plug their ears and believe whatever they want to believe? The guy has a terrible track record.

I'm all for giving him another shot, but I expect two things: 1. Shoot better than 40% 2. Be grateful.

Same can be said of Thabeet then, right?
    :)

As for the ops original question, I think both TWill and Morris will be riding pine all year, unless there is signficant roster turnover, and I expect Morris to get a D-league stint too.

That Terrence Williams web series is pretty good. He don't seem like such a knucklehead on that show.
