Wow, I am surprised that he is coming back to the league. I hope the new confidence is all that he needs to succeed in the NBA.

Could make this into a movie. Good to see him finally getting his game back.

AM can play, he just needs the right situation for his game.

Is he a star, no, but he is a rotational player in the NBA.

The problem is AM is only good with lots of touches and he isn't good enough to earn lots of touches in the NBA. He's never been efficient and he's never played well off other people. If you're not a superstar in the NBA, you better be able to catch and shoot or play great defense.

I strongly disagree. He's a slow guy that can't shoot, dribble or defend.

I have seen him live twice, and he makes Matt Carroll look like Larry Legend.

Dear Darwin... I mean, the guy is just an awful shooter too. Don't let the whiteness fool you. He is Trevor Ariza AT BEST on offense.

    Spectacular college player, though.

I don't see why the guy can't be Eddie Johnson. If you got a jumper and his size, you got gold. It's really all about confidence and being given a shot. I'd like to have him on the grizzlies this year.

I'm sorry, I thought he did. My mistake. Thanks for correcting me.

Well considering he made millions falling on his face... Then will make millions coming back (sum of multiple,minimum-based salaries).... I would say no.. That's not inspirational... That's just plain opportunistic and common sense... Gotta love the sports world for trying to turn water into wine though...

Funny how Jamarcus Russell can come back , and the word "inspirational" wouldn't be mentioned, period... But AM attempts it and he's a great story... Like Stephen A. would say , "Stop It"

The difference is that Jamarcus got into drug dealing with his purple DRANK and never worked hard at his craft.

A more apt comparison (as you are trying to make this a black and white thing) would be Marcus Dupree.

It is not always about black vs white, sometimes it is just about the quailty of the person.

I don't have to try and make it black and white... It's an open/shut case in sports... Anyhow, Jamarcus just popped into my head... same point , bad example...

It is not open and shut, it is an overly sensitive issue.

Sometimes it is about race, but most of the time it is about the person, but folks that are overly sensitive about race attempt to make it about race.

I guess to each his own it is there, but I tend to believe that most people look past that and look at the quality of the man, and that has a greater influence on their thinking than skin tone.

Of course as a mostly white guy - 1/4 american indian - I have not walked in a black guys shoes, so I don't know what it feels like.

One day, the world will just be one big old mix of races, and skin tone won't matter, can't wait.

I agree with that.. But unless humanity has one big orgy , and the 2nd generation offspring outlives the 1st generation,.. that last statement of yours will never happen...lol
