Different CBA & only true for mid-late '90s.

In '95-95 the Knicks payroll was $43M. Patrick Ewing made $18.7M.
In '97-98 the Knicks payroll was $53M. Patrick Ewing made $20.5M.

Robinson made $5.7 mil in 1992. The cap was $14 mil back then. If you extrapolate that to last year's salary cap of $58 mil, Robinson would be making $20 mil a year in today's world. Gasol's contract would start at something like $12 mil with annual raises.

    How so?

Nene and Gasol will NOT wear a Rockets uniform.

I can not believe he would reject that size of a deal, he will not get that anywhere else...that is MAJOR money.....for the 2nd best Gasol.

His brother told him probably not to re-sign with the Grizzlies.

I think there was a story on that.

Dead wrong! If Marc Gasol was unrestricted, he would be the #1 C on the market over Nene and Chandler. This is the guy everyone wants.

I'm pretty sure he wants 76 million.
