Bulls seem interested in a bunch of other players... If he doesn't sign there, I bet he signs with the cHeat.
T-Mac needs to realize that when you're no longer a 25-7-7 superstar, a defensive-minded coach will actually make you play defense.
I don't see McGrady as a good fit for Thibs and the Bulls. It would be tough for him to adjust to their mentality. How's he going to react when Thibs or Ron Adams screams in his ear coming off the court after missing a defensive assignment?
This team is so absurdly reliant upon Rose to do EVERYTHING, so I suppose I understand the logic in getting a playmaking reserve to lead the second unit (assuming that's the plan). All the same, I still think him joining the Lakers would be the best fit.
The ironic thing is he was nearly a lock to go there before the 2007-08 season trade deadline but he "shut it down." Tracy has always made his own justice.
Didn't he try the same Ish last year and the Bulls said, no? Why would it be any different this year? DD
Last year, McGrady was just coming off his elective surgery and was a big question mark. At least now, he's shown that he can stay healthy. Also, the Bulls now know that they need to upgrade Bogans. I'm glad McGrady wants to play for them. I enjoy watching him reach out to teams and having them subsequently spurn him.
I think Chicago will have better options than McGrady, especially after the amnesty cuts are announced.
Funny. I saw TMac today. I work at an office building in Stafford and there's a Carlton Staffing across the lobby from where I work. His wife was in there and he was playing with his young child right outside of the door. Before I realized it was really him, his wife came out and they left. He looked slim though, much slimmer than I remember watching him play for Detroit last season. I know, I know.... cool story, bro. Hey, at least I didn't start a new thread about it. LOL!
