    Get it done, Rick!

This is a freakin' no brainer. Two backups who are brand new to our specific offense or a guy that played in it for 4 years?

Give Kellen Clemens or Delhomme a nice little exit bonus if you have to and make this happen.

Ugh... at least one team that needs a QB2 is ahead of us in the order. :( From Silver:

How does this waiver bull**** work? Why in the hell isn't a team with two QB's on the IR not moved to the head of the line on this?

Because he's better than both of our backups combined in our system?

And helping his (former) team win against us is being a rat?

But with McNabb out there now, we have a better shot at getting Sage who is a better fit for Houston anyway.

Hopefully Dallas grabs McNabb, because I doubt Chi town wants anything to do with Sage.

Hopefully his illness and possibly being out of shape will preclude Dallas/Chicago from putting a claim on him. I think the waiver period is 24 hrs. They probably won't have time to bring him in for a workout.

I may be in the minority, but don't want. He epitomized to me who the Texans were, and I did not like that. These new Texans have a swagger, and are about blood, sweat, and overcoming injuries...

Sure we need a experienced QB behind Yates, but I just wished we could have him in this role if it was 2008, but he isn't the same.

I think Sage was one of the only players that had swagger back then. Maybe it's more now about blood disorders, sweat, and overcoming injuries (to other players) but think Sage would know the playbook better than anyone they could get right now. Besides if it get's to that point.. we should just throw O.D. and tebow it.

Yeah Delhomme should change his name to Captain Swagger. He is brimming with confidence.

Doesn't really matter. Clemens would be an easy enough cut. They don't owe him anything and at least he collected a game check which is more than what he would have had as he was completely out of the NFL a couple of weeks ago.

Perhaps all the talk of them cutting Sage in order for him to come here opened up some tampering type of concerns which may have resulted in fines and or loss of draft picks. There were some such rumblings on the radio.

If we do end up putting in a claim in for him, I think he was our target all along and the rest of this was just smoke and mirrors as well as insurance (Dellhome) just in case we lost our waiver claim.

A healthy Sage with this team as it is comprised right now is a good fit.
