Why are you "forcing" me to stay with one ****ty coach or another? Ha. Neither. Neither are good HEAD coaches imo. Save the 'good offense' talk. If I had to choose though, Kubiak....I guess. But **** both of them. They both suck and maybe are meant for one another. Hopefully Gary can find a spot for Sherman on his staff again. Sounds good!
LOL, sorry bro. I think Kubiak has been doing a pretty good job thus far, especially with all the injuries. Can't say the same for Sherman though.
Where was Randolph last night? Sherman burned the kid's redshirt while they were blowing out Kansas and he doesn't get a single carry last night. I realize that Malena was having a solid game, but I can't help but feel sorry for Randolph that his freshman season will consist of a handful of carries in a blowout of Kansas. I'm sure there was someone on the active roster that could have carried the ball for the rest of the game against the Jayhawks.
I didn't like the Sherman hire at all. They said they were doing a national search and then out of nowhere it was Sherman. That being said, I think it would be good to have some consistency when making the conference move. It seems like there would be less question marks.
@jdh That's just good ole Sherm! @Brando Yeah it wasnt a national search. It was a good ole boy network hire. A Mike McKinney & friends hire.
If the Ags are truly committed to winning, Sherman would get fired, I was happy when he left the Texans......and DO NOT WANT HIM BACK ! DD
http://blog.chron.com/sportsjustice...an-so-badly-that-he-must-be-fired/#finalframe have undermined Mike Sherman so badly that he must be fired The Aggies have no choice about it now. They must fire Mike Sherman. By allowing the debate about his future to become public, they’ve undermined his ability to do his job at the worst possible time. His recruiting class will be gutted, and rightfully so. To keep him now would mean that he’s on a one-year trial while the rich guys attempt to raise the money to fire him. Very few recruits are going to buy into that situation. Why can’t these bozos do anything right? They threatened to leave for the SEC, then they didn’t go. Then a year later they all but announced they were leaving, seemingly without fully understanding the legal issues. It’s tough to say Sherman shouldn’t be fired. He’s 25-25 after four seasons and at the end of an incredibly disappointing 6-6 season. The Aggies had a lead in every game. They had double-digit leads in five of them. Their defense was undisciplined, their quarterback unreliable. They appear to have had a problem with conditioning, getting outscored 76-7 in the third quarter of their losses. His recruiting has been good, but not great. So if you’re going to tell me Sherman, who is owed $2.2 million a year for the next four years, isn’t the right guy for the job, I’d have a hard time arguing. I love the guy personally and know he’s a terrific coach. I don’t fully understand why he hasn’t succeeded. I never expected him to pass Oklahoma and Texas, but he should be better than 25-25. Still, if a school is going to fire a coach at this time of the year, it must have a plan. It must be decisive in its decision-making, and then it must have a plan for replacing him. Who is the hot name out there that A&M could get? Nick Saban? Don’t laugh. Aggies may be thinking he’s dying to live in College Station. Bob Stoops? Yeah, sure, he’d take that job. A&M could have made a run at Mike Leach a week ago, but now he’s off the market. Kevin Sumlin? If he ever leaves UH, he’ll have far better choices than A&M. He might want to look at the last decade and see that A&M has gone through three different head coaches. R.C. Slocum did a terrific job, but it wasn’t good enough for some Aggies. Dennis Franchione was a hot commodity when the Aggies lured him from Tuscaloosa. He failed. Sherman was an unusual hire, but a solid one. He too hasn’t yet gotten it done. Is there something in A&M we’re not seeing? Is there a reason all these good coaches haven’t put the Aggies on the national map? A&M has facilities, money and fan support, but for some reason, A&M remains a second-tier program. One of the names being passed around is Larry Fedora of Southern Miss. He might be terrific, and he might be willing to move to College Station. If he’s the man, he needs to be sitting in his new office by next Monday. Otherwise, the Aggies will look terrible. They’ll look even worse if they decide to keep Sherman after undermining him in such a public way.
Leach would have been a great hire but I don't think he is welcome over there.... I'm not sold on Sumlin either....
I'd like to see what Sumlin can do without Keenum. But Justice makes a really good point. Aggie administration just keeps finding new ways to **** up. If Shermans not out this year, he will be next year. Recruits are def gonna think about that..
You saw what Sumlin could do without Keenum -- last year. He got clowned. Rice whipped UH, even without Rice's starting QB.
Hate to say it, but Richard Justice is spot on. The way this is playing out is absolutely pathetic, just like our season.
Sherman out according to Kirk Bohls If true, keep these 3 names in mind(imo): Larry Fedora, Sumlin, and Smart(Alabama)
Bohls also reporting Sumlin is the fav in aggieland to be the next HC. And lol @ sherm for not signing the extension.
@kbohls kbohls Texas A&M has decided to fire football Mike Sherman but has not yet notified him, a prominent Aggie source just told me. 26 minutes ago via web Lol ouch......They can leak this out to the media before they even tell the man
highly doubt tressel would even consider a&m, on top of that he's suspended for next 5 games (might be only if he was the coach at ohio state). His record against SEC teams is pretty crappy as well. I'm guessing it'll be Kevin Sumlin.
