I still like the show despite a couple of really corny episodes (the prehistoric Alfred Hitchcock one... ugh), and have watched all the episodes. Hopefully they don't cancel the show.
I tend to agree. I really like the characters, I wish they could replace the ones on Walking Dead. I think the daughter is pretty hot. And I just checked, she's 18.
These networks have created a mess for themselves. None of these shows are going to take off ratings-wise, because people have been burned by shows like Flash Forward and V. FOX or whomever needs to commit to these shows for 2 or 3 seasons now if they want any chance for it to work - I know many people that just say they'll wait to see if the shows survive before "getting hooked".
I know. I generally watch the show in bunches when I have watched all the other shows It is a good concept but they seem to be sucking in the inacting it Rocket River
Just watched the last two episodes last night. I think they are taking way too long to establish the Spoiler two-way portal between 2149 and *now*. Once this occurs, I think it really opens up the playbook for exotic storylines. I can also see a cheesy storyline setting up... Spoiler from this week's episode when Taylor and Mira were surviving together and the discussion of her daughter popped up...it seems she will be written out of the show eventually (death), her daughter will make it to Terra Nova and she'll request that Taylor take care of her daughter. Seems like it's starting to set up that way.
So If they wanted to invade this alternative universe to use up all the natural resources why do they keep sending pilgrimages to tera nova if they want to eliminate commander Taylor?
Seems to be some rich and powerful people in 2149 want to exploit the Terra Nova project for the resources, but maintain the pilgrimage visage with the public.
He actually went to jail for assaulting the police and resisting arrest. He went crazy and started hitting people remember? I am thoroughly enjoying the show still.
I think this show can improve in the 2nd season, has a TNG early feel to it. Pretty sure these scripts shows were already shot, so it's wasn't as if they could correct some issues yet.
But isn’t the pilgrimage mostly some sort of lottery? I remember all but one member of the 6th pilgrimage (the 6ers) was sent back in time and all left Tera Nova.
Anybody see the 2 hour finale last nite? It was pretty dark compared to the previous episodes. Spoiler What they found in the Badlands makes me wonder if they've come to a bizarro world where humanity has already come and gone with the dinos coming afterwards....
I thought the season finale was pretty good. Much darker and less campy than the season has been, which I feel is a better direction this show needs to take to make an impact upon viewers. Spoiler The Badlands angle does seem interesting. Maybe it was a prehistoric civilization in this alternate universe. The Viking-like ship makes that civilization seem primitive.
I thought the finale was good as well. From what I read, they haven't made a final decision on whether there will be a Season Two and won't make one until early next year. There was a tweet about it. The tweet from somebody making the show was optimistic they would be coming back.
That 2 hour finale was pretty sweet. It definitely threw some twists into the plot. I'll definitely be watching season 2 if they bring it back. Spoiler The Badlands twist really blew me away, but it was kind of goofy that they kind of blew it off at the end. Well, maybe not "blew it off", but I know I'd be freaking out in a "wth?!" moment there. They seemed to kind of take it casually. Another goofy point was when the T-Rex or whatever came out of the container. I was like "really?" *sigh*. That moment almost took me back to that "bird" invasion episode. But just the same, I was cheering when T-Rex went after "the bad guys". lol.
Some scenes in the finale were predictable and corny, but it was better than earlier episodes. I'll watch if they have another season. I really want this show to succeed, but they need to be more creative and original.
Loved the show all year, really loved the finale. Wish it had that tone all year long. Hope it gets another run. on the Badlands: Spoiler The corporation knew they'd find something out there and sent them searching for it. Once they realized they were stuck in that world they went to the badlands. The artifact is an ancient object. There is another temporal rift that is focused on the badlands.
I am 20 minutes into the last shows Spoiler Why are villians not villianous. They should have just killed shannon . .. killed sky, etc Villians become stupid and trusting ridiculously easy Rocket River
