If your patience is wearing thin after two seasons then you guys would absolutely HATE the rebuilding process.

Find a shiny object to hold your attention for a few seconds. Find a new shiny object. Look at it. Repeat.

    That will help your frustration.

I guess that's all you can do as a Rockets fan, sigh.

I'll still spend by 200 dollars a season on them though.

I agree 100%. Morey is finally not tied down by the Yao saga and I want to see what he can do over the next couple of years. Morey has made mistakes, but he has minimized them due to his ability to be fluid and creative. He is rebuilding in a non-traditional fashion and I want to see how this turns out. As things stand, we have to wait and see how these young prospects turn out that he has acquired. Maybe one of these guys will turn into an upper tier player or maybe Morey will be able to swing some sort of random amazing deal with one of our prospects.

Who knows....but I agree give the guy some time.

I say in about three years we look at the roster, if we don't have a bona fide superstar or a blooming prospect with high potential, then we need to start re-evaluating Morey's skills.

I hope you are right. Things would be so much easier If Thabeet could just step in and improve... 10 boards and 3 blocks is all we need...

Was $90 million possible under the old CBA? That figure was what was bandied about at the time when he turned down that $50 million contract extension from the Nuggets.

Nene said its not about the money. LOL

Morey needs to call Utah on trading Al Jefferson here now and forget about Nene.

Nene is arguably the top free agent this year, but do you really want to overpay for him? Being the best of this years free agents isn't saying much.

Under the old CBA, Denver could have given him up to 6 years, ~$132M (either to play for Denver or in a sign-and-trade deal to another team).

Under the new CBA, Denver can offer him no more than 5 years, ~$100M to play for Denver.

Under the old CBA, any other team could have given him up to 5 years, ~$101M to sign outright.

Under the new CBA, Denver (via S&T) and any other team can offer him no more than 4 years, ~$74M.

    Pretty big difference, huh?

DM the GM could have Jeff easily. Wisely he says, 'Nay.'

I'd rather take fesenko for dirt cheap and see how he pans out.

Sounds like Nene wasn't happy about being treated like an asset in Denver. He will for sure enjoy working for Les Alexander and Daryl Morey.

It shows how far our expectations have fallen that acquiring Nene ever generated this level of excitement. He's the type of guy you look for after you've gotten your superstar. Until then, all he does is chew up salary space, get older, and hurt your draft position.

    Calm down, my friend.

Daryl Morey has had exactly ZERO days to rebuild after the end of the Yao era. Day 1 for him begins on Dec. 9.

Why don't we at least give him more than zero days, okay? ;)

How exactly has Yao being on the team stunted his rebuilding phase?

$17M+ clogging up the Rockets salary cap.

But that just came off the books the milisecond that the lockout began.

You seem to be a Rockets insider. Can you guess what moves we will make in FA and possibly trades on Dec. 9th?
