    What a sick joke....

I was up by 20 with Colston/Kasay , they produce like 15 pts, and VICTOR Cruz owns me with 40 points in a PPR League, WHAT A SICK ****ING JOKE.

Last 2 weeks ive lost by like under 4 points what a fluke, I have the best roster in the league too.

    Need help:

Playing 3, so which guy do I sit.

Shady Mccoy (sea) I can't see any rhyme or reason for Mccoy to only have 10 touches against NE. It was almost as if they forgot that they were up 10-0. I don't see any way that I can sit Mccoy. Reassure me of this! (note: am I crazy to think that I could have 3 better plays at running back this week?) History: (Sea) is 11th in opponents running yards. This, going against (Gore, Turner, Mendenhall, Rice, Stephen Jackson, Demarco Murray, Helu). Of these guys, only Murray and Helu had good games. Important to note that Murray and Helu were basically starting for the first times in those games so their was a surprise factor. But Seattle shut down a murders row of Running backs this year.

Jonathan Stewart (@tb) Last week, Carolina played the 31st rated run defense in INDY. They ran the ball 35 times. Stewart got 10, Cam 9, Deangelo 15. S.Smith 1. This week they are going against Tampa 32nd against run. Even with the disparity in touches (and the goal line touches) going to Deangelo, I don't see that I could sit Stewart this week. More importantly, Carolina won that game. This week, I see the same game plan. Run it as much as possible.

Ryan Mathews (@jac) Mathews got 22 carries last week. He still has Norv Turner and Ryan Torian to deal with. He absolutely has the least opportunity to score TDs of any backs that I have, but he is usually good for 100 yards a game when given the touches. Looking at his touches last we, one thing jumps out. Ryan Mathews has had 20 + carries 3 times. 2 were against Denver, one against KC. I mean of course rivers throws it more against NE, when Norv knows that he needs points. If it is true that Norv is willing to play ball control against weak scoring teams, this week (Jac) is the pentacle they've only manged 138 points (worst in the nfl). But it gets better, (jac) has the 4th rated defense against the pass. Wouldn't at least 20 runs be in the game plan, considering mathews is coming off a good game?

Roy Helu (nyj) Shanahan anointed Helu the starter. Probably the worst thing going for helu is that he is the least experienced back of the ones I have. I am not so worried about Shananhan at this point. I think he has seen the light. Also, last week one reason I didn't play Helu was because I have Fred Davis, and Santana Moss. This week, I am most likely going to sit Moss, I feel more comfortable with a Davis/ Helu combo that a Davis/Helu/Moss trio against the tough jets D. Numbers: the jets are 28th worst in the nfl at rushing tds. They've given up 10 this season. Conversely, they are 3td best at passing tds. Basically, I see helu getting a lot of check down passes. I really don't see any washington receiver able to scare the jets d. The other factor is that while the jets are good defensively, they aren't a great offensive team and I believe washington's defense is much like denver's. Great against the pass, mediocre against the run, but since the jets can't run the ball, I don't see them scoring a lot of points. Thus, another reason to run Helu into the ground. Another way to look at this is that J.Stewart gets the least amount of touches, if helu is the starter of all of the rbs I have, but he has such a favorable matchup that it is hard to justify sitting him.

I honestly think Mccoy is the guy I should sit. Please convince me I'm wrong.

I would definitely sit Stewart out of those 4 guys. He still splits carries with Williams and Cam. I mean they could run the ball heavy but the split could end up being 20/10/10 or so even with a terrible run d in favor of the starter D. Williams.

I always try to play my top guys cause if they blow up you'll regret sitting your 1st round picks.

I'm in a 3 way tie of 2nd in my division and desperately need to win my last game to ensure a playoff spot.... Who should I start?

RB: Greene, Helu, Bradshaw (Kevin Smith is a possiblitiy if healthy)
    WR: AJ80, Larry Fitz

This is what I'm looking at as we speak but I have Moss, Ford, Ingram, Crabtree, and Tolbert to choose from on the bench. *sigh* I need a W. :(

I like Mark Ingram a lot this week. Easy matchup, he is also running good. I also like Crabtree. Stay away from Moss, Tolbert. Ford, maybe, but it depends on his week. By the way, I like Ingram more than Greene or Bradshaw this week. I also like Crabtree more than those two.

Please, now read my essay below and comment ... :)
*bold If I knew that Stewart would get 14 to 15 carries and 4 to 5 targets in the passing game, I'd feel more comfortable in playing Stewart over Mccoy. But like you said, he could get only 10 touches and maybe 2 passes out of the backfield.

If you believe in psychology in sports, Deangelo got the goal line looks last week, so I'm thinking that they might want to reward Stewart this week if they get a goal line play.

The other psychology factor is that the big story this week in philly is Mccoy's lack of touches. I am sure that Andy Reid will be going into the game with a concerted effort to get Mccoy more touches. But, also Seattle just let Helu run all over them last week and I see them trying to reassert themselves as a stellar run defense team. Not to mention that Helu is very much like Mccoy and Ray Rice. So this might benefit Seattle, because they've seen these guys before. And also because Vince Young sucks.

I think this is a tougher choice than people might think.

If you DO NOT have Victor Cruz how can you claim to have the best roster in the league?

    I hope you didn't take David_Rockets advice.

And no, going forward there is no universe where Ben Tate is better than Bensen or Mcgahee. Remember you are on a texans board and adjust accordingly.

Bench 2 of the following: (assuming AP is healthy and McFadden is out again for OAK)

    Adrian Peterson vs. DEN
    Beanie Wells vs. DAL
    Demarco Murray @ ARZ
Marshawn Lynch vs. PHI (Thurs. night)
    Michael Bush @ MIA

Leaning towards the following so far to sit on the pine:
    -Murray b/c he doesn't score
-Bush due to the Dolphins' run D

    Thoughts?

This maybe sacrilege but I would bench Adrian Peterson. He is coming off of injury and is going against Tebow, which means he'll somehow fumble twice and give up a game-losing return TD. Wells is a must start at this point barring injury. Lynch is also playing consistently well and is going against a bad run D.

So it comes down to playing Murray or Bush which I think is a wash but I'd lean towards Murray due to matchups.

I would sit Peterson regardless if he goes or not. As far as 2. You'll have to monitor Well's injury, Mcfadden's status against Bush.

I also believe that Lynch and Murray are must plays. No way would I sit Murray under any circumstance this week.

If you just can't help yourself and roll with Peterson (his injury is pretty bad) then I might sit wells if Bush is still the starter, and Mcfadden looks like he isn't going to get touches. The reason? Dallas's run d is pretty stout and the fact that Wells is not always the most consistent player.

But my preference is sitting Petersen, and making a gut call on either Bush or Bennie.

    Now can you help me?

Thanks for the feedback, what and kevC.

what, I wouldn't sit McCoy no matter what (no pun intended). His lowest output was 11 pts in a week 4 loss to SF. Last week he had 12 pts against NE even though he had only 10 carries thanks to the TD. Shady just finds the endzone regardless.

I don't like any of your 3 other choices due to the timeshares/vulturing of TDs/Shanahan r****dedness. I'd probably bench Stewart only because he has to worry about both Cam and DeAngelo taking away touches and TDs.

what, I really think you're over-thinking it. Looking too deeply into match-ups have gotten me into trouble all season. Gotta start LeSean.

I appreciate the help. I just want to be smart about it in a critical week. That's all.And seattle scares me too death.
    Check this out:
    Gore - 22, 59 yards. Mendenhall 19, 66 yds. Turner 26, 70 yds. Rice, 5 27 yds. also, 8 rcp 54 yds. Stephen Jackson 15, 42 yds.

They also have given up 6 rushing tds all year. And 3 of those happened in the first 2 weeks of the season.

So in the last 10 weeks they only allowed 3 rushing tds.

Seattle probably has the best rushing d in the entire league and they just got burned by Helu.

Am I overthinking it? Maybe. But I don't know.

Freeman at home vs Carolina or Tebow on the road against the Vikes?? Minnesota has a terrible passing defense, but Tebow isn't really much of a passing QB and they do have a stout run D. Have to run the table for a play-off chance(and it's no guarantee) in a league where my team was at one time(three weeks ago) in last place with the most points scored of all 10 teams. Still have the most points scored, but now sitting in 7th. If I can get into a 4th place tie at 7-7 I advance due to points. I would argue Freeman has the higher ceiling with the the Panthers since he seems to do better at home against teams not from Houston. Tebow seems to have the higher floor(no less than 15 pts in any game he has started).
