Having lived in both, I second. I can only stand so many people with green mohawks. If Austin disappeared, nobody would notice. If Houston did the states would be in shambles :)

Because his trolling ask for it. 3 weeks ago he was saying how overrated Matt S was, now he is saying we were Super Bowl contenders before he got hurt and he is irreplaceable.

There are varying degrees of context in every discussion, I do think Matt is overated, but that does not mean he sucks, or that he is not needed on this particular team.

It is staggering how black and white discussions can be around here sometimes.

LOL - unless you have lived in both, it is hard to judge.

I have lived in both Houston and Austin as an adult with a family, there is no comparison - Austin is just a much better place to live.

But I still love me some Houston, just not as much as Austin.

I've lived in both. I can say neither is better or worse. Each has their advantage. Austin can get pretty annoying while Houston can get pretty dull. They both have their nice areas and suburbs. I-35 is a damned nightmare, but 45 or 290 are pretty terrible as well. I dunno, they have their advantages and disadvantages, I don't see how people can say one is 100% better than the other.

I think both cities are great, but I think Austin is a city not everyone can adjust to.

How long ago did you live here?

Houston is where the money is at. Better economy, real estate. More oppurtunities. 25 Fortune 500 company headquarters are located in Houston, which ranks third most in the nation. The medical facilities are second to none. 3 professional teams with state of the art stadiums (that's not counting the Dynamo).

More diverse (melting pot), more food options, more uspcale areas, better freeway system, good nightlife. Personally, I don't like the bar hopping stuff any more. I prefer more exclusive joints.

The list goes on and on. There is a reason why I everybody moves to Houston as it's one of the fastest growing cities in the nation.
