Wouldn't the FBI make more sense then? SS is part of the Treasury Dept. Along with political security, they do things like financial fraud, counterfeiting, etc - but I never knew they would be involved with child abuse of any sort?
Boeheim will be gone soon. He's a dead coach walking. Syracuse may be in a world of trouble. I wonder how many of the more recent victims will come out of the woodwork.
4th victim about to come out... Over/Under on Boeheim lasting two weeks? I'll still take the over. I don't think he'll get the axe until the investigation is complete and charges are filed against Fine. The Chancellor today ruled out any chance of there being a suspension. I covered Boeheim for a season. He's a good coach and gives a lot of freedom to his players, but unlike Coach K, he doesn't build character, develop leaders, or really care about what people do off the court. I know his defense mechanism will be something along the lines of, "I'm a basketball coach, not a disciplinarian or investigator." If I were a parent and heard him say that, I wouldn't have my kids be ballboys.
I and a friend were huge Syracuse fansin the late eighties early nineties. When they had Sherman Douglas and called him the General. He would throw alley oops to Ronny Siekly, Derrick Coleman, Billy Owens, and the 6'2" small forward Stevie Thompson who could jump out the gym.
