The Texans right now have the #1 seed in the AFC . . . http://espn.go.com/nfl/playoffs/machine LOL . . .Superbowl-bound!
just get to the playoffs, unlike the nba you don't have to be the best team four times out of seven. i'll take that 8-3 record, nothing comes easaay in houston.
Screw the pessimism. Let's see what Yates can do. By all accounts, he's athletic, has an accurate arm, and most importantly, understands the system. He's not gonna be the next coming of Montana out there, but I'm willing to give him a chance to prove that he's serviceable. This is the hand we've been dealt....well, it's time to punch the dealer in the mouth and take what's ours.
This never gets old, I was a fan last year too, but if you want to say a year and 2 months, fine by me. DD
Been a fan of the Astros and Rockets since 1972, when I was living in Houston. Which is probably before 90% of this board was alive..... The Texans started after I moved to a better city, Austin...took a while to get into them. DD
Why does every one pile on DD? Gets old. I welcome newbies to the team, just don't continue to whine about not having he who shall not be mentioned.
I was just screwing around and it looks like the only team that truly controls their own destiny is the Ravens. If the Texans, Pats, and Ravens win out then the Ravens get the #1 seed and we would get the #3 seed.
I don't think the Ravens will win out they are a dow jones team....the Texans have been a lot more consistent though Yates as starting QB is danged worrisome, at least he has 5 weeks to get ready for the playoffs. DD
At least give the rookie a chance before calling our season over. With Yao Ming, he was the best center in the league, #2 at worst behind Dwight. You weren't replacing 7'6. We're comparing apples to oranges with the Texans.
