Identity Test - The NBA has a much more physical style of play then Euroleague, which tends to have much "softer" basketball players.
I agree ,but i was not talking about nba someone asked if it is better than D league, So yes VTB is definitely better.
Hmmm. Interesting that the Rockets will (definitely?) sign Parsons next month. I figured that the team would be better served to let Parsons play overseas (if he's willing), maybe keep a non-guaranteed contract on the books (Blakely only guaranteed $25k after opening night; Cousin maybe not guaranteed anything), and retain Parsons's rights without them counting against 2012 cap room. But perhaps Morey views Parsons--even as a rookie--as a talented enough "asset" that will have value in trades and/or serve as a Budinger replacement should Bud find his way into a trade package. Good to see that D-Mo will be staying in Europe (dobro, I think Prokom's non-Euroleague season continues until March). He'll continue to count against the cap, but his cap figure will be slightly lower (by 4.5%?) in 2012 this way.
I dont think we will ever see D-Mo on our bench. I think Morey always looked at him as a center to throw in a trade that could tempt other gms. Like Asik and Mozgov. they are "intriguing" players that teams love gambling with
I would be shocked if we sign Parsons. Unless Morey has plans to trade Chase I don't see the benefit of signing Chandler Parsons this year.
Philly supposedly had a deal lined up for Iggy before the lockout went down. IIRC Morey had a possible deal for Iggy last year that fell through at the last minute. The deals Morey makes seem to be ones he's re-visited.
Wow. I never thought I'd actually type these words: Thanks for the helpful contribution to this thread, OHMSS.

Yeah, we argue back and forth and then I post funny pictures of my head covering up the oil leak.....it is a riot. DD
Not sure. As I said before Prokom's Euroleague season most likely is going to in late December. Prokom's VTB League season ends either in March (if they miss the playoffs) or in April/May depending on how deep into the playoff they'll go. (The schedule isn't out yet. Last years playoffs went into late April with fewer teams qualifing for the playoffs). And then there's the Polish league, which usually ends some time in May also. Prokom, I think, has gotten some kind of weird exception to delay or lay off the early part of their schedule, so that they would have enough time to compare for Euroleague & VTB League games. I'm not totally positive on that one though. Maybe some of our Polish or Lithuanian friends can confirm this. Otherwise I'll ask around later myself.
ahhhh.... ok, thanks for that info. Makes alot of sense now. Makes alot of sense now too why the Rockets would want him to stay overseas till next summer.
If I don't hear a definitive statement from the club I'm assuming any Euro contract included a out clause for the NBA and as a first rounder he is in the team's plans for this year, Morris to compete at the 3 and Motiejunas to compete at the 4/5. The short preseason is a detriment for them and Parsons is probably headed to the D league, but an athletic 7 footer needs to be worked into the team ASAP. Heck , if he could just stay with Dirk he could be a part of a playoff series.
