I go to about a dozen Sixers games a year, so I've seen quite a bit of Dalembert. He's a solid center, but he'll drive you nuts with the mental lapses. Bad hands, 3 second violations, stupid fouls, always being called for goaltending... There's a reason he doesn't play 35 minutes a game.

So basically he's considering the Heat or NY. If he goes to NY, does that mean Amarie (yes I'm spelling it that way) will get shifted to the 4? Or will they alternate?

I would take him. Even if he gives us 20 minutes a game, we're upgrading the position. I would consider him a temp, though. One of these days, DM will get us our center for the future.

Our defense will be reinforced if he decides to join our team. I'll take it.

Nahhh. Aging and injury prone, IIRC.

Wasn't he a dealbreaker for many Clutchfans on the Iggy trade threads? I suppose that contract had a lot to do with it, but personally I don't want him on the team either way.

I think our chances are slim to none. There's no way we could outrace Miami and New York.

Both Miami and ny can only offer him up to the MLE. He could be a good pick up as a backup 5 @ MLE money.

Actually NY won't give him more than a 1 year deal as they need to save the cap room for CP3 next summer.

Should not keep him from Haitian community in Miami. Would be wrong for Morey to do so, these people suffered so much and have so little.

Thabeet is younger and has the same potential, no need to sign Dalambert - especially if it costs too much.

hopefully they don't sign him. Too much to pay for him, we would be better playing Thabeet

There are good reasons why the Rockets never bit the bullet and traded for Dalmembert when he was with the sixers. This isnt a guy who is going to take this team to a contending level. He is a stop gap center who will have trouble beating out Chuck Hayes.

Yes, he's tall and can block shots, but is inneffective in a lot of areas that Chuck is dominant. I think the better option for a stop-gap center is Fesenko or pull the trigor on a trade for Biedrins, Kaman, Robin Lopez, Varejao, or Asik.

The only free agent centers that will make a true impact in wins would be Gasol, & Nene. Nene is not a true center, but is a solid impact post player, and can pick up most of the slack of what Chuck could do defensively. Offensively he would be a major upgrade, but will be costly.

Dalembert, will be costly, and wont be very much of an upgrade, if at all.
