If Yao could pass a physical do you think he'd consider playing?

He's been off for a year and a half, and a shortened season might be attractive enough. Would it even be worth it to make the phonecall?

He declined HOF considersation for a reason, if there was a good time for him to come back I see no better one than the present.

I don't think it would be worth it for Yao or the Rockets.

It is not about Yao being healthy today. The problem is that Yao cannot stay healthy during an NBA season.

He can pass a physical now, he is fully healed, he decided to retire rather than risk reinjury.

    I hope he reconsiders.

I have always felt that Yao was not ready to retire anyway. I said when he retired that he would be back within 2 seasons. Now would be a good time.

It seems like Yao’s been keeping busy post-basketball, going back to school and now launching his very own winery. Seems like he’s in good spirits with everything that’s going on too.

    :)

But if Yao gets the itch to play again later on, I’ll certainly welcome him back. I love Yao.

If Tmac passes a physical, we can try the T-Mac/Yao scenario all over again.

    Serious question

Is there a rule against cybernetic enhancements?

Funny, I always thought it would be TMac who would go into the whine business.

Would that torpedo our season? Do we have much bigger plans without him? If he were willing, I'd love to see him in Rocket red again not to be a savior, but because I love watching him play.

Why would you want to put Yao through more hell? His body is not suited to playing in the NBA, and he knows it, and so should we.

He could play off the bench, he would be a heck of a 20mpg back up center.
