Springsteen doesn't suck- obviously it's coming from someone who knows maybe 4-5 songs of his. Whoever says Springsteen sucks probably hasn't listened to Nebraska, doubtfully Born to Run, and most likely not The E Street Shuffle. Most who say they don't like him say it's because they hate his singing. So that just puts him up in the category as Mark Knopfler, Bob Dylan, Lou Reed, Neil Young (yes, many say he has a whiny voice), and Geddy Lee.

Anyone who says he sucks because of his lyrics REALLY doesn't know what he/she is talking about. Anyone who says he sucks because of his music- well, that's more understandable, but then those same people will say they like Petty or Mellencamp or Morrison and you just have to laugh.

I repeat, Moe, Born to Run is the best album of all time. It's got the music, the lyrics, the perfect beginning and end, passionate singing, etc. It is the complete package.

I don't see how people could hate the Killers or Foster. Pumped up kicks is my least favorite song on the album, probably because it was played so much. They were amazing in concert, second to Muse out of the bands I have seen as far as talent mixed with stage performance.

And how can you hate the Killers? There whole albums are amazing. Probably the best Alternative rock group after Smashing Pumpkins.

MGMT is fun, but I can understand why people don't like them. My friend met them at a house party and said they were cool guys so I listened to them ha.

Anyways if anyone is into Incubus check out this band from SoCal called Jubala

You don't have to hate the killers. It's fine to disagree.

But I will let you know where I'm coming from.

There sound is 80's based, but not in a good way. I've heard interviews with them and they genuinely appreciate the 80's bands they are getting their sound from. But they do it in an annoying way. Their lyrics are so over the top bad that it sends shivers up my spine when I hear that "Somebody told me that you had boyfriend that looked like a cousin" or whatever the hell they say. (I know it's not really a cousin, but it doesn't matter).

Not only do I think their 80's influenced sounds aren't up to snuff, but they don't bring in anything original to go with that influence.

That being said I have a grudging like for All these Things I've Done song.

I don't like that song either, poor 1st impression ruined my liking for them. Maybe its more Brandon Flowers's style, but there's something not quite agreeable with their revivialist sound for me.

But then I heard The Bravery's [Something to} "Believe" and that to me is top 3 worst songs of the past 5 years. Bad derivitive song off a bad derivitive Killers sound, talk about aiming low. But I understand why The Killers would have beef with them.

Yeah, I haven't been a huge Bravery fan, but I'll admit I haven't paid as much attention since they aren't as popular. Also plenty of people who's opinions on music I generally agree with or at least respect were fans of the Killers.

    Bob Dylan - Planet Waves
    Neil Young - Freedom
Van Morrison - Into the Music
Bruce Springsteen - Darkness on the Edge of Town

4 excellent albums, if I do say so, myself!

Been listening to a lot of Gram Parsons lately. If I were to make a list of my top 500 songs of all time, I think he would have probably written at least ten of them...and he died at 26.

Anyways I can't get enough of Naked and Famous or Joy Formidable. All my bands have the same sound to them though haha. Whiny voices and fuzzy guitars ;).
