Even as an Armchair QB Brett Favre throws a few interceptions a game.

Yeah, I'll jump on board. At this point, it can only be fun since we have nothing left to lose.

Please do this. Yates does not look like he's ready and Clemens couldn't even beat out Beck or Grossman in Washington. At least Farve would bring some glimmer of hope if he can remotely still play at all.

    I'm calling it.
Brett Farve will not be playing for this team. In fact, I woulda't be surprised if they don't even give him a phone call. If they wanted him, they would have given him a call the moment they found about the severity of Schaub's injury. T.J. Yates is your starting quarterback unless Clemens takes over if he's terrible or gets injured. And if Clemens gets injured, it would be one of the quarterbacks they worked out.

I disagree, if they thought Lienart could do it, then you don't call Brett in as a backup player, he is a starter.

So, you roll with Matt L, but this is different, you are not going to hurt TJ Yates career by bringing in Favre.

Totally different situation, maybe they will call him.....I would.

Bringing in Brett Favre flies in the face of conservative Kubiak, the last thing Kubiak wants is gunslinger Brett throwing into triple coverage with the game on the line. Which Brett loves to do.

True, maybe McNair forces them to call him for the good of the team, like he did with Wade Phillips, some coaches need to be kicked in the ass, Kubiak is one of those.

They HAVE to at least give him a call and see what kind of shape he's in, right?? I'm just at such a loss right now, I don't think the severity of the matter has really set in. I simply cannot believe that one franchise (and city) can be THIS cursed....

Yes because forcing offensive minded Kubiak to hire a qualified D coordinator because they had the worst defense in the NFL is very much the same as telling the same guy who has been a QB coach and offensive guru which QB to sign. Apples to apples alright.

Completely agree. There is absolutely no upside, NONE, in getting Favre. Do we not remember how he played last year?! And we expect him to come in and give this team something, anything, after being out of football for close to a year now?!

I would rather roll with Yates and see what he can do. I'd rather put Owen Daniels behind center and give him a chance, then to see Brett Favre put on the red, white and blue. This is a guy that threw 11 TDs to 19 INTs before his body finally gave out last year. A guy who makes Matt Schaub look as mobile as Vick.

And I doubt Kubiak want's to deal with the baggage he'll bring. I'm sure he'd rather try to coach up Yates and see what he can do, like Leinart, Schaub and Carr before him.

Considering signing Favre at this point would be the single dumbest thing this franchise has ever done.

With our luck Favre would lead us undefeated through the rest of the season and then break his hand on the first play of the first playoff game. :(

Considering Yates is our QB right now, it would not be the dumbest.

At this point you have to consider EVERY possibility. If Favre is in shape and he's interested you have to at least work him out.
