Nothing solid, but rumors are broken collarbone. Probably going to "no comment" it until they get home and get him an X-Ray/MRI/whatever tests they want to run.

I'll take the win, hopefully Yates can get some reps in this week. He looks like he might have some potential. I still think we have some winnable games coming with the way our D is playing.

Yates is going to Brady the league man! Young guy comes in for the veteran and tears it up! YEAH!!

On the plus side, there shouldn't be any doubt as to who the AFC defensive player of the week is.

It's like you guys don't realize there's more to an NFL team than just the offense. Our defense was/is spectacular and Jags offense is horrible. you have a 10 point lead late, just try to kill as much clock as possible even if it means running 9 straight running plays. the defense holds, ball game.

If your QB suck they do.

Deep passes, or even just medium passes, require either great timing between the QB and the receivers or take a long time to develop. When a play takes time to develo, DBs can read the QB's eyes. Linemen can tip the pass. Miscommunication and receiver break the wrong way. The pass rush can come and Yates may make the wrong decisions. So many things can go wrong if the QB is as inexperience as Yates was in this game.

The reason you don't see it in actual NFL games, is because no coach will ever put a young QB in such a situation in the first place. While veteran and proven QBs avoid most of those problems. But if the QB isn't ready, he likely ends up like David Carr than Matt Schaub 3 years down the road.

    He better - lol

The plus side is like you alluded, he will look better. again who knows?, none of us knuckleheads know, we think we know, but we never...will . ..

What we do know is our defense is a beast and will bring it every game..

xrays should be definitive. They've already taken them. If its broken, it should show up on the xray.

If its not broken, he will need an MRI because it was obvious he couldn't throw the ball... then you start worrying about ligament/structural damage that requires surgery and a longer healing process.

Same thing last week with Schaub. Wasnt clear enough or didnt really show anything. They came home, did more x-rays or scans, and well we saw the results.

Thanks guys for the responses, just heard that Kubiak said the Xray was inconclusive, need more tests. A glimmer of hope.

One thing I would like to add; I am so proud of our defense, what an outstanding game. Barwin was a monster, but they all played well. (well, maybe not K. Jackson)
