Probably... but if they don't execute the first down play, the whole drive will stall. A lot of Kubiak's play-calling sequences rely on the inherent rhythm that results from successfully executed plays. As soon as something puts a wrench in that... whether it be a drop, penalty, or just poor execution (or good defense), the whole sequence will change.
This defense has been a little up and down this first half. They've let them get comfortable on a couple of drives. Defense has to do a better job, gotta maintain that #1 defense rep.
We have the lead but does it seem like the D has been out there longer than the O? D could get gassed later in the game.
