Why is Stanford always on ABC?

I'm watching the other ABC, called Disney.

I only saw most of the 4th quarter, but Pitt's QB was a complete moron on their last drive. He needs a brain transplant. If he was trying to throw the game, he couldn't have done it any better. I was fine with WVU winning (especially with Graham on Pitt's sideline), but couldn't help but feel frustrated for Pitt.

RG III on the sidelines. Of course, he would get hurt on a dirty play.

Anyone catch the Maryland-N.C. State game earlier today? :p Maryland up 41-14, lost 56-41

Maryland's A.J. Francis: "That's the worst **** I've ever been involved with in my entire ****ing life..."

    Haha unbelievable

Wow, that sucks. They had something similar earlier this year against Clemson back when they were still top 10 and undefeated. Maryland was up 18 in the 2nd half and lost by 11.

Yeah, Tino Sunseri is all wrong for what they want to do. Under Dave Wannstedt, Pitt had a very conservative offense that asked Sunseri to simply hand the ball off cleanly and avoid turnovers.

When Graham came in, he wanted to pick up the pace on offense like he had at Rice and Tulsa. They used the uptempo offense until some point in the middle of the season when they realized that their current personnel couldn't handle it. Since then, they have scaled it back to a more reasonable pace to try to give the offense a chance. As you saw, it's not really working.

I'd say OK St. still has an outside chance. I would think that a big win over the Sooners would allow them to overtake Bama in the Computer polls. They would still need Virginia Tech to lose and Oregon to lose (assuming that an Oregon loss to UCLA would point out that the Pac 12 is overrated and possibly cause a few of the Stanford votes to fall).

If LSU loses though, I'm not sure OSU has a chance. Mainly because that would move Bama to #1 in a number of the computer polls and likely both voter polls (I mean has a team lost a game before and not fallen in the polls whether deserved or not?). Then no chance to catch Bama and LSU would easily still have an edge over the Cowboys in computers & human polls.

If LSU were to get blow out though, it may be conceivable for them to fall a good bit, but I doubt it.

Alabama is pretty much the consensus #2 in the polls. Unless voters have a major, major change of heart, I don't think there's much that's going to help at this point in terms of OSU passing Alabama. If there was any anti-rematch momentum, we'd have seen some shifts this week to put other teams at #2, but pretty much every voter has Alabama in the #2 spot. OSU would need at least a third of the voters to put them at #2 and the rest to put them at #3 for this to work. But since Stanford is going to be #3 for some people, I don't see how this works out for OSU.

Their best bet is to dominate OU and for LSU to get beat solidly and somehow fall to 3 or 4 in the polls, with OSU getting to a solid #2.
