Season is on and now Brooks is stuck in China. Opportunity for Morey to dump Flynn's contract onto the Suns.

LOL, sorry Brooks. Better hope you had an out clause.

If they signed with a team in China, they dont have an out clause.

Don't put it past Brooks to pout himself off his team and back into the NBA. ;)

I would not be surprised if Nba players in china start having "Injuries" and get cut.

Also you have to take into account that alot of guys are going to get hit by the amnesty clause and the stretch exception so players will be moving around and which may knock some fringe players out of the league and looking for a job.

The CBA may value those players more since they are no longer thinking about the NBA

Out of the 12 players in China who played in NBA last year, Yi is the only one with an "out" clause, which is allowed because he's not an import. But he's injured at the moment. Kenyon Martin will stay in China, 100%. Out of the remaining 11, about 6 won't get another chance at the NBA (e.g. Mike Harris, although he might sign 10 more 10-day contracts with the Rockets every year when the CBA is over.)

Don't feel bad for AB, even if he stays the Chinese season ends in March and playoff teams will be after him to add to their rosters.

He can pick and choose where to play.

Yes, Phoenix retains his rights, but if a team gives him a front loaded contract, it might put the Suns well into Lux tax land and they would have to choose to lose money, and Sarver is struggling for cash, and probably would not match.

    AB will be ok.

    Morey's crystal ball foresaw everything.

I only wish we traded Brooks earlier for more, but nobody expected Brooks to pout and quit on the team so a ton of props to Morey for salvaging as much as he can with what was left of Brooks' value. His situation is absolutely terrible to look at for any GM.

I think he is career is over in the NBA unless he is willing to be a back up. He's too mentally weak for the NBA, IMO.

See what happens when you quit on your team? Karma always gets back to you. Now he's stuck in China lol.

If Tmac can get a gig in the NBA, then Brooks can too.

Some of you young guys really need to take a longer view....

No one is going to hold AB's pouting over his head, it is just not that important if they think he can help their team win games.

AB, when healthy is a helluva player, you don't average 20ppg in the NBA and suck.

He will be back in the league in March, and there will be several teams that want him.

The reason T-Mac will and still gets a gig in the NBA is because of his superb passing skills and high basketball IQ.

What skill does Brooks posses that a team really need? He doesn't play defense, he's an inefficient chucker and worst of all, thinks he's better than he actually is. Those 19.6 ppg in 2009-2010 were fools gold, he was surrounded by offensive juggernauts Ariza, Battier and Hayes? LOL!

Brooks is a quality PG as a starter or off the bench, his quickness and scoring are desired properties.

I know you don't like him, probably because of the AB vs Lowry debates, but if you step back you will see he is a pretty good NBA player when healthy.

Don't you think the Lakers would rather have him over Blake?

Steve Blake plays good defense. Brooks would be his backup at best.

Appreciate all the updates you did, but I think based upon that statement your basketball evaluation is vastly different than mine.

No need to continue the conversation, we shall see what happens when he finishes up in the CBA.

So can we all just agree that AB has the world's worst timing ever. Hands down...

Dude there is no way in hell Brooks is backing up Blake. The Lakers would be drooling at the chance to have AB as the starter.
