Reply Quote: Richard Justice says: November 26, 2011 at 10:51 am Listen, buddy, you might want to stop announcing that you’re a moron. You probably leave your house 3-4 mornings a week without pants. People like you are the reason Rick Perry got elected. Hey listen Justice, its freaking morons like you that made me cancel the chronicle in 2008. Stupid partisan newspaper! Way to alienate your audience
Sign Nene and add DHoward next offseason. Kyle/Martin/Chase/Nene/Dwight staring lineup plus a number of players between Dragic/Lee/Morris/PPat/Hill. Of course, requires getting rid of Scola and other players but totally worth it. Maybe a couple of those second lineup players. Curious to know with new CBA how our cap will be looking.
I wouldnt mind having Nene. Im not totally sold that he would be the superstar we need. But he would add some height down low
Sign Nene, amnesty Scola and you still have room for a max player. Going into this season you run with this lineup. Lowry/Dragic Martin/Lee Morris/Budinger Hayes/Patterson Nene/Hill
What does "all out" mean? Like we went "all out" for Chris Bosh? I doubt Dick Justice has any inside information about us going for Nene. You could just as easily insert M. Gasol or Tyson Chandler into that article.
Would much rather us try to go after M.Gasol but no way Memphis lets him go. A trade for Bogut? We have the assets.
What is up with giving up on Scola. Scola is not going anywhere didn't you read the article the Chron. Scola, Martin, and Lowry are the players the team will build around.
Ha ha ha ha. The Rockets will need to get worse before they can get better, and I will leave it at that.
Welcome to the Dick Justice School of Journalism, where declarative statements about the motives and intentions of others are made without quotes or inside information. The truth is we have nothing to go on other than past actions and public statements.
I really don't understand why there is so much Nene hate now lol!!!! He is an incredibly efficient scorer and believe it or not, a good defensive player. (for those of you saying otherwise)
If ever there were a time to stink it up and rebuild, this is the year. Much easier to sell a bad team to fans with a shortened season; the fans are going to be happy just to see basketball. If the team plays ~.500 ball by the trading deadline, that's fine. Then dump what's valuable. I even believe it'll be "less-bad" to sell season tickets for the following season with the All-Star Game in town. I want to see a massive dump!
Then let's rebuild. Nene's a good player, but I'd rather put my hopes into an unknown high draft pick next year than him.
I ditto that. I vote for rebuild. Nene has never really impressed me and is not the shotblocking center they need.
It is said to overlap with training camp starting on December 9th. More than likely, games will be played and players with players still being signed. One extra note: It is also said that December 3rd would be the day that teams could speak with free agents. Then again nothing is really set in stone yet!
The only idiot is this Justice fella who thinks the Rockets re-building plans will solely rely on signing a slightly above average player like Nene. Chuck Hayes is a better player for the money than Nene. This Justice fella should stick to baseball.
What are you saying, the Rockets should tank? The Rockets will have just as good of a record with or without this Nene fella.
