I have not finished the main quest but most definitely you can continue to play. They have infinite quests.
I didn't realize that. Wonder if you dropped the companion and picked them back up if that re-levels them.
link? the uespwiki for skyrim states that Lydia levels with the player http://www.uesp.net/wiki/Skyrim:Lydia one of the good things about being up this early to smoke the turkey is that I have a few hours of solo tv time for Skyrim! lets see what I can get done while monitoring the smoker temp for the next 10 hours. Have a great turkey day guys.
As promised, here is a pic of my 1st generation crafted sword. I have 100 smithing/enchanting/alchemy/two-handed weapons. I crafted a set of armor that gives me bonuses to alchemy and smithing. My current crafting set gives anywhere between 20-22% improved potions and weapon/armor improvements. I have read that the cap is 29% on every piece of gear so my final weapon will hit much harder. My guess is that I can get another 40%+ once I hit the cap. I am buffed with a +118% 2 handed weapon pot and my orc racial (double damage) in this pic. I chose the sword for +20% crit and faster swing speed (the mace just felt clumsy). The damage would be higher if I made an axe or mace. The final damage is 2152. The game is bugged and only shows 215, but if you read the bottom it shows the final damage. It's also enchanted with health and stamina leech (the charges drain annoyingly fast). Picture taken from my TV so excuse the quality.
Oh. Well some companions are bugged and don't end up leveling with you. Sven and Faendal in Riverwood are two that just suck, that dude from Morthal doesn't level with you either.
WTF. No, seriously. WTF. 2k damage? Didn't know smithing, enchanting, etc. were so overpowered.
Didn't back up to play with out it? Or, now that you see what the best of the best is like.....your normal character just seems lame? lol. Sounds cool, but I'm not doing that glitch. It'll ruin, what is a pretty fun game for me.
Enchanting is sooo overpowered. I'm a level 100 enchanter so I can cast 2 enchantments on each item. Right now I have it to where Destruction spells and Restorations spells cost ZERO magika.
i don't understand how people can play this game. My roommate is a hardcore gamer and he spent 10 straight hours on here and At the beginning when he slays the first dragon and gets knighted and his own personal sex slave he was in awe as if it were real. Incorporates too many aspects of real life, way too easy to dissociate from reality , i can see where he gets his lifestyle from. Not steriotyping but I can see how some people can lose themselves b.c of games like these
The game does eat away at a huge chunk of your time. I don't think its a break from reality more-so than great storytelling. Its that feeling of "what happens next?" that keeps people on the game.
Anybody else got the killshot on a dragon. You jump on its head and go knife through the head, cool as hell. You wanna strut after doing that.
Lol, so the other day I told Lydia to wait somewhere in the middle of Skyrim near a Giant's camp and I forgot that I did that and fast traveled out of the area. When I spawned at my destination Lydia wasn't with me which reminded me that she was still waiting. I went back to the spot to try to find her but she wasnt there. I figured I would find her back at Dragonsreach but I've been back there atleast a 100 times since and she was never there. Today I was walking around Whiterun and I see a group of people huddled around a dead body and I walk up to it and theres Lydia, freakin dead baha. I wonder how she got there and how she died in the city if I wasn't the one that killed her
