Really? Not an aggie fan by any stretch, but A&M=WVU (with the aggies taking the edge b/c i believe their strong recruiting will eventually push them over the top) and Mizzou > TCU

 

So i recently watched the 30 for 30 doc on the rivalry. How is the atmosphere right now? Is it truly as divisive as they made it seem?

 

It's pretty serious.

Stupid effect of the SEC tiebreaker here is that Arkansas wants to win... but barely, if they want to win the SEC. They win and they'll be #1, but they need LSU to hold up at #2. On the flipside, their best shot of making the national title game might be to avoid the SEC title game and let Alabama play Georgia there.

Arkansas up 14-0 and just like that it's tied.

I didn't know the Honey Badger was so great as a punt returner. Caught me off-guard.

 

I'm not sure how much more of Verne Lundquist I can take. I'm willing to overlook a lot because he's old, but I can't stand how he over-pronounces names with a Cajun/French accent just because LSU is playing.

Alleman quickly becomes Alle-MOHN and Clement is Cle-MOHN.

 

I figured LSU would pound Arkansas pretty bad. Alabama is the only team that can beat them.

Kind of off the radar, but Colorado just beat Utah 17-14. There are a couple of interesting developments that came out of this result.

First, for Colorado's seniors, this is the first road win of their career. They were 0-23 as a class on the road coming into this game. That's almost unfathomable.

Second, Utah's loss means that UCLA will represent the Pac-12 South in the Pac-12 title game. To be fair, USC was the top team in that division, but they are ineligible for postseason play of any kind. I said it earlier in the season, but it's even more true now. The Pac-12 South is the new Big 12 North, at least this year.

I'm guessing Stanford or Oregon beats the Bruins by 40.

 

Let's say UCLA wins the title game. Does this mean they're in a BCS bowl?

Would have be funny to see Utah better Colorado today, UCLA lose and ASU lose. Then Utah beat Stanford/Oregon for the BCS bid.

 

Pittsburgh just lost to West Virginia in the Backyard Brawl and at least one former Panther is fuming. Dorin Dickerson has been tweeting since the game ended. Among the tweets are things like:

"Todd Graham makes me wish I never went to Pitt."
"All the coaches should be fired."
"I will never give back to Pitt as long as Graham is the coach"
