Never again am I waiting in line. You get cut by a bunch of scrubs ahead of you, if there is multiple tents ahead of you, there is no point in staying because people will continue to get their friends in the tents and cheat... such a joke
Drove past one of the Best Buy's out here in the Pittsburgh area a few hours before the midnight opening, took a look around and basically said "eff this". There were at least 500 people waiting in line. New plan: get rich, pay full price
Never.****ing.Again. Walmart makes you stand in line for hours, gives you a ticket and makes you continue to stand in line, come around about 30 minutes before the deal is good to give you another ticket and inform you that you must go stand in line to check out which are now so long an crowded with others who have picked up what they want that you're waiting in another line and then you have to get your vehicle and wait in another line outside the store to actually pick your tv up. Got my ticket at 10 PM and I am just now getting out of Walmart. **** that!!! I knew there was a reason I did most of my shopping online!
Only thing I wanted was an Xbox. I got on target.com at 6 pm and found a deal for a 4GB model with an extra controller for $179. Placed the order and my Black Friday shopping was complete. The malls will be crazy enough this year... I'd rather not stress myself out on this particular day.
For those of you just wanting some movies, Amazon is price matching a crapload of blu ray deals it seems. EDIT: I didn't hear about the Frys thing. what happened?
The prices this year seemed as good or worse than last BF. Haven't bought anything nor do I think I will Friday afternoon. I think I'll wait until tech and standards stabilize for big screen TVs before I get all manic with the deals. The Costco 40" Chinese brand LCD still works even if its considered old hat or whatever the commercials are telling me to think. btw, did anyone know what happened to Frys.com BF deals? They seemed to have been screwed over by last years fiasco
Sorry to hear that Brightside. I was a Walmart at 7, got my ticket for the Kinect/xbox bundle and my girl waited for the movie pallets to open. The movies crowd was a mob and I saw a girl get punched. I still walked away with the new Batman gave and out the door by 10:20. They just gave her the xbox so we met up and checked out. I'm outside of sears now. Hit Macys up right after Walmart.

For all the gamers here, do you have any games to recommend that are good deals. I'm going to get battlefield 3 or bad company 2. Which one should I get? I'm also looking to get something else but don't know what. Any suggestions?
Those last few videos just prove to me how stupid Black Friday is. Eventually, companies are going to need to go almost exclusively virtual and just limit the quantities that are offered for their sales. People are just too stupid/greedy about saving twenty bucks.
My wife and I both went to Wal-Mart, and neither of our stores had tickets. We were both out by 10:15. I've never understood why there isn't more consistency at Wal-Mart.
Which tv? Would it really be $500 more than an equivalent LCD TV bought online at the black friday sales(in-store pickup to avoid shipping) or at the After-Christmas sale?
Target we got there at 4pm, and then had some people hold our spot while we went to Wal-Mart at 8pm. The Wal-Mart I went to let us into everything at 8:30, and I was in the checkout line by 8:45. We weren't allowed to checkout until 10, so I did wait in line for that, but was the 5th or 6th person in line, so it didn't take long. The Wal-Mart my wife went to didn't let people into the stuff until 9:45, and she was first in line since she was only grabbing 2 video games. I got back to Target around 10:30, and was checked out by 12:10 (store opened at 12). I bought the TV from BB online when it became available at 6:06am. The only years I wasn't successful were when I depended on parents.
