I predict he would have run it in against the Raiders.

    ;)

    5-1 finish.

Not getting ahead of myself but damn it feels good to be a Texans fan right about now. Even though we lost basically all of our offense for a extended period of time and a couple of key players on defense with one out for the season and still have these aspirations.

Hope the Rockets follow the same success as the Texans whenever the season starts.

    You guys have convinced me.
IMO this is a SuperBowl contender
If Lienart wins this Sunday .. I'm all in
    Kubiak or not!

The AFC as a whole is weaker
    NEw England is not 'scary'
Steelers nor Ravens will run away and hide from the Texans
The TALENT is there!! The TEXANS HAVE IT IMO

With Andre back, Sunday should be a win, in my opinion. I'm pretty convinced about our chances (I think we'll possibly win a game in the playoffs...and I'm thinking we'll start with a bye). If Leinart shows up pretty well (which I think he will), and we beat Atlants by more than one score, I'm going to be riding high and mighty thinking I like our chances against anyone in the AFC.

Top 3? When healthy he is the best WR in the NFL. He blocks, is physical, runs good routes, is fast and physical... he is as good as you will find.

This.... He has poise, knows the system, has worked very hard and I expect him to be very efficient, complete a high percentage of passes but not make many plays deep. That is where... the elite talent of Foster, Johnson, Tate and Owens have to turn average plays into special plays.

We are lucky to have Leinart as our back up and now starter.

So if Lienart plays well and the Texans make a deep run into the playoffs, maybe even the super bowl. Do we resign Lienart for a much bigger price as a backup qb? Or do we let him go somewhere else for big bucks and stick with Schaub? Considering Schaub may have minor problems with his foot the rest of his career and he wasn't that mobile anyways.

I am of the opinion that I would want to stick with Lienart. Of course this is all speculation since Lienart hasn't even thrown a pass yet. At this time though I am getting more excited and interested in seeing how well Lienart does. Lienart is a few years younger and more mobile then Schaub and I do see a future if he performs well.

If this is the case, I think we'd try to sign him to something like a two-year mid-level deal. This is just me guessing, and it's probably totally wrong. I just figure that if he does well, he's obviously comfortable in this offense. A 2 year deal would give him a few more possible chances at starting, so that he could showcase himself, and try and get one more decent contract, maybe as a starter, beginning at the age of 30-31.

Then again, depending on how well he plays, some team that's desperate for a quarterback that misses out on one in the draft (there should be a decent amount of quarterback prospects) might be willing to throw some money at him.

Given how many teams have bleak QB situations, if Leinart posts a 85+ QBR steering us to the playoffs, there'll be a number of teams offering him money.

Wasn't his contract over the offseason for 2 or 3 years? If a team can't get a qb they like in the draft, is an 85qbr Leinart one of the top qb's to chase? FA's I can think of that will have interest would be Flynn, A.Smith, Campbell, Orton.

Jeez. Let the guy play a regular season game first before worrying about locking up the next Tom Brady.

I think some could say the same to you about worrying about the fact that we have the next JaMarcus Russell.

173 yds I TD 2 int, in a Texans win. Leinart knocks off some rust, builds confidence as game goes on. I'm sure the Jags are coming after him, not overly worried though. Longterm, I think Leinart does well.

I predict he will play less than a half of football and then get knocked out for the season.
