Interesting read from the New York Times on Black Friday: http://www.nytimes.com/2011/11/25/business/fridays-deals-may-not-be-the-best.html?_r=2
The Best Buy PS3 sale appears to be sold out online. I guess it's in store only. Oh well, perhaps Amazon will have a similar sale.
Anyone else thinks walmart online ads are bogus? There is not a single item that I want can be purchased now.
At Walmart. Got a ticket for the 32" Emerson. Tried for Best Buy's 42" Sharp but the line was already 200-250 deep.
Be careful out there bro. Congrats on getting the ticket. My cousin lives in Brenham and he stated people we're already acting up over that TV.
i cant believe the lengths people will go to save money. Was your 12 hour wait in line worth the 50 dollars you saved on your lcd tv?
never under estimate the will of people to buy things that are discounted even if they don't need or want it. maybe black friday was useful when there was no online shopping..but now? i hate going to the mall even on normal days when it's busy. i can't imagine going tomm.
$50? Add another 0 to that. Best Buy and Walmart aren't worth it to me, but you only gotta wait for a few hours at Conns.
I had a very successful run. I got the 24" TV at BB for $79, everything I wanted from Wal-Mart, and my Kinect and other items from Target. I took some jackass to the ground who jumped the line in front of me at Target. That was the best part of my day.
I purchased the playstation from amazon. It should be back live now. Edit. Maybe 12 pacific which is 2am here in Houston.
I didn't want **** this year.....I'm going to wait a couple of weeks and I'm pretty sure I'll get the same price online or in-store. If not, close to it. Going to have a good night sleep and enjoy this weekend doing nothing.
My wife and I have confirmed it. Those of you that go and wasted your Thanksgiving standing in lines for places like Kohls, are simply insane. We went up to he kohls in The Woodlands just before their scheduled opening at midnight. The line for cheaply made off-brand clothes was around the building. I really don't get it. All that time wasted for a small savings.
FWIW, Kohl's carries more than just clothing. If you're not doing anything else at home anyway, then i guess its worth it.
I know it has more than clothes. We went up there with the intention of buying a matchbox car track. I guess even though I had nothing else going on at midnight my time was just worth more than the $15 we would have saved had we gotten in and managed to get out.
